SOUNDHOUND AI IS MAKING EMERGENCY VEHICLES BETTER 🚨
Q: What kind of photos do prisoners take?
A: Cell-fies. 🤳
What’s new? Rekor Systems and SoundHound AI are teaming up to revolutionize emergency vehicle technology.
Want the details? The partnership between Rekor and SoundHound brings together Rekor Scout®, a state-of-the-art vehicle recognition system, and SoundHound’s advanced voice AI technology to create a fully hands-free experience for law enforcement and first responders. This integration allows officers to control essential vehicle systems, such as automatic license plate recognition (ALPR), emergency lights, and radios, simply by using voice commands. One major enhancement is the replacement of generic audio alerts with natural language notifications. Instead of relying on beeps or tones, officers will now receive clear, spoken updates about critical information, such as Amber Alerts or sightings of wanted vehicles, improving response time and comprehension. Additionally, the partnership enables hands-free operation of in-car Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs), which are crucial for accessing databases, incident reports, and dispatch details. Initially focused on police vehicles, this technology is designed to expand to other emergency vehicles, like fire trucks and ambulances, enhancing safety and efficiency across all first responders.
TRUMP REPEALS BIDEN’S AI EXECUTIVE ORDER ✍️
Did you hear that Trump signed an executive order banning the sale of pre-shredded cheese? He wants to make America Grate Again. 🧀
What happened? On his first day back in office, President Donald Trump repealed a 2023 executive order by former President Joe Biden aimed at addressing the risks of AI.
What was Biden’s order? Biden’s order required AI developers to conduct and share safety tests with the government before releasing systems to the public. It also tasked the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) with creating guidelines to help companies identify and fix issues like bias in their AI models.
Why did Trump repeal it? Critics of the order argued that these requirements were overly burdensome and risked exposing companies’ trade secrets. Trump campaigned on policies aiming to “roll back Biden’s red tape” and promote safe AI innovation while respecting free speech and a competitive market. Revoking these measures may signal a more hands-off approach to AI development by the Trump administration, where the government stays at an arm’s length.
SAM ALTMAN TELLS PEOPLE TO “PLS CHILL” 🥶
twitter hype is out of control again.
we are not gonna deploy AGI next month, nor have we built it.

The worst way to get someone to chill is to tell them to chill. Doesn’t Altman have a spouse? 🤷♂️
What’s up? Confusion around whether OpenAI’s new o3 model represents artificial general intelligence (AGI) has deepened after conflicting statements from OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. (Side note: AGI is when AI reaches the level of human intelligence).
What were the comments? Earlier this month, Altman told Bloomberg that the o3 model had passed the ARC-AGI challenge, a benchmark used to test for AGI, and hinted the company was focusing on even more advanced “superintelligence.” However, on Monday, Altman posted on X, saying, “We are not gonna deploy AGI next month, nor have we built it,” downplaying expectations.
What does this mean? The o3 model is part of OpenAI’s latest generation of AI systems, introduced as a more advanced successor to last year’s o1 models. Despite its achievements, François Chollet, an AI researcher, clarified that passing ARC-AGI doesn’t prove AGI. He noted the model still fails simple tasks humans excel at, showing it is not yet at the level of human intelligence. This means that people should probably take all of Altman’s comments with a grain of salt, given that he also has a history of stirring controversy with his words.
