OpenAI was named the Yahoo Finance Company of the Year for 2025. OpenAI's private company shares have surged 153% this year as it landed a $500 billion valuation, led by its GPT-5 upgrade and over 700 million weekly users. (Read More)
Micron Technology surged nearly 15% after reporting stronger-than-expected earnings and forecasting massive growth ahead, driven by booming demand for memory chips used in AI data centers. The company said it has already sold out of its high-bandwidth memory and expects the market for these chips to reach $100 billion by 2028, growing 40% annually. Micron posted $13.64 billion in revenue and $4.78 earnings per share, beating estimates, and expects even higher numbers next quarter. Analysts are calling it one of the best earnings surprises in U.S. semiconductor history. (Read More)
Amazon is in talks to invest around $10 billion in OpenAI in a deal that could value the AI firm at over $500 billion. While the details are still in flux, the move would deepen Amazon’s role in powering OpenAI’s tools with its cloud services and custom AI chips, as OpenAI prepares for a possible IPO. (Read More)
