How much could AI save your support team?

Peak season is here. Most retail and ecommerce teams face the same problem: volume spikes, but headcount doesn't.

Instead of hiring temporary staff or burning out your team, there’s a smarter move. Let AI handle the predictable stuff, like answering FAQs, routing tickets, and processing returns, so your people focus on what they do best: building loyalty.

Gladly’s ROI calculator shows exactly what this looks like for your business: how many tickets AI could resolve, how much that costs, and what that means for your bottom line. Real numbers. Your data.

YOU CAN NOW CHOOSE HOW NICE YOU WANT CHATGPT TO BE 🤪

What’s new? OpenAI is rolling out new controls that let you adjust ChatGPT’s personality, including how warm, enthusiastic, or expressive it sounds.

How does it work? The update adds personalization options inside the ChatGPT app that allow users to fine-tune how the assistant communicates. By going to the menu, selecting your profile, and opening Personalization → Add Characteristics, you can choose whether ChatGPT should be more or less enthusiastic, how often it uses emojis, and whether it relies on headers or lists. You can also select an overall tone, such as professional, friendly, quirky, or even cynical.

Why should you care? These changes give users more control over how AI fits into their daily work and communication style. Whether you want responses that are polished and professional or written in a more relaxed conversational tone, customization makes ChatGPT more useful, efficient, and personally comfortable to use.

YOUTUBE SHUTS DOWN CHANNELS FOR MAKING AI MOVIE TRAILERS 🚫

What happened? YouTube has shut down two hugely popular channels, Screen Culture and KH Studio, for using AI to create fake movie trailers that misled viewers into thinking they were real.

Want the details? These channels used AI to generate realistic-looking scenes and mixed them with real footage from existing movies and shows. They then posted these videos as trailers for upcoming films or series that had not been released yet—or did not even exist. By posting very quickly and uploading many versions of the same fake trailer, they learned how to “game” YouTube’s system so their videos showed up before official studio trailers. At one point, some fake trailers even appeared higher in search results than the real ones. Although the creators briefly labeled the videos as “fan” or “concept” trailers, they later removed those labels, which YouTube says broke its rules.

Why does this matter? This case shows how AI can easily confuse audiences and spread misleading content at massive scale. It also raises serious concerns about trust online, copyright abuse, and how platforms must respond as AI-generated media becomes harder to spot.

AI VIDEO GAME LETS USERS EXPLORE THE STONE AGE 🗿

What’s up? Researchers have built a 3D educational video game that uses AI to let players explore and learn about daily life in the Stone Age.

Want more details? The project was developed by researchers from the University of Copenhagen and the University of Bergen using open-source tools. Set at a real Neolithic site on the Danish island of Funen, the game combines video footage of ancient stone tombs with a digital environment. Players can explore the landscape and talk with two AI-driven characters: a modern archaeologist and a woman from the Stone Age. Instead of fixed scripts, the characters generate dialogue using research-based prompts and a custom knowledge base, allowing them to respond in multiple languages and be easily updated as new discoveries are made.

Why is this significant? Historically accurate digital experiences have usually been expensive and limited to major studios. This project shows that museums, universities, and educators can create engaging, research-grounded history experiences on a modest budget, making the past more accessible, interactive, and adaptable for learning.
