What’s new? Anthropic has upgraded the Claude mobile app so users can handle more work tasks from their phones, with new integrations for tools like Figma, Canva, and Amplitude.

How does it work? The update lets Claude act more like a mobile work assistant instead of just a chatbot. In Anthropic’s demo, users could ask Claude to pull analytics from Amplitude, open design files from Figma, and build presentations in Canva, all through one conversation. That means less jumping between apps and less need for a laptop. Anthropic also hinted at a future feature called Orbit, which could give Claude deeper access to phone functions like creating calendar events, sending messages, making calls, and navigating the web.

Why does this matter? AI apps are starting to become real productivity tools, not just places to ask questions. If Claude can manage multiple work tasks from a phone, it could make work faster and more flexible for professionals, while also putting more pressure on rivals like ChatGPT in the enterprise AI race.

What’s up? A construction robot called Maximo has now helped install 100 megawatts of solar capacity at the massive AES Bellefield solar project, marking one of the biggest real-world uses of robotics in utility-scale solar construction so far.

How does this work? Maximo’s latest robots are built to speed up the hard, repetitive job of placing solar panels. According to the company, version 3.0 robots can install more than one panel per minute, helping crews place up to 24 modules per hour per worker. That is nearly double the pace of more traditional methods at similar solar sites. The system uses AI, computer vision, and robotics software to guide installation, while simulation tools from Nvidia help Maximo test and improve the machines before sending them into the field. AWS also helps power the data systems behind the robots so performance can keep improving over time.

Why is this significant? Solar demand is growing as data centers, EV charging, and rising electricity use put pressure on the grid. At the same time, construction labor shortages are making large projects harder to complete. If robots like Maximo can safely speed up solar installation, they could help build clean energy faster, reduce delays, and make big infrastructure projects more efficient.
