SLACKBOT GETS AN AI TRANSFORMATION 🤖

Image: Slack

What’s new? Slack is transforming its classic Slackbot into a full-fledged AI assistant that can plan projects, schedule meetings, and find information across your workspace.

How does it work? The new Slackbot, currently being tested, acts more like an intelligent coworker than a simple reminder tool. Located beside Slack’s search bar, it opens a chat panel where users can type prompts like “What are my priorities for today?” or “Find Jay’s document from last meeting.” Drawing on messages, files, and channels, Slackbot can summarize conversations, create project plans, and even coordinate meetings through Outlook or Google Calendar. Built on Amazon’s secure cloud, Slack says the system keeps data private and doesn’t use user content to train its models.

Why should you care? This upgrade could make Slack far more useful—turning it from a chat app into a true productivity partner that helps teams save time, stay organized, and reduce digital clutter.

SALESFORCE LAUNCHES AGENTFORCE 360 🦾

What’s new? Salesforce just unveiled Agentforce 360, the newest version of its AI agent platform, designed to help companies build smarter, more flexible AI assistants.

How does it work? The upgrade introduces Agent Script, a new prompting tool that lets users teach AI agents to handle “if/then” scenarios more intelligently—making them less robotic and more adaptable in customer interactions. The system uses advanced “reasoning” models from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google Gemini, which aim to think before replying. Salesforce is also rolling out Agentforce Builder, a unified platform to build and deploy agents, and expanding Slack integration so that its AI tools work directly within Slack apps for sales, HR, and IT teams.

OPENAI TAPS BROADCOM FOR AI INFRASTRUCTURE 💾

What’s up? OpenAI and Broadcom are teaming up to build 10 gigawatts worth of custom AI accelerators and Ethernet-based systems, set to begin deployment in 2026 and finish by 2029.

Want the details? OpenAI will design the new AI accelerators and systems, while Broadcom will co-develop and deploy them across data centers worldwide. These systems will rely on Broadcom’s Ethernet and connectivity technology to link massive racks of computing hardware, allowing OpenAI’s models to train and operate faster and at greater scale. By designing and creating its own hardware, OpenAI can tailor it specifically for its own AI models, embedding what it has learned from developing frontier systems like ChatGPT directly into the silicon. This can accelerate progress toward artificial general intelligence while helping meet the global demand for faster, more capable AI systems.
