What’s cookin’? xAI has released Imagine Image 2.0, a new image generation and editing system now available as Quality Mode on Grok’s website and mobile apps. The update is built less like a fun image toy and more like a practical design tool. It can follow detailed prompts, handle layouts and typography more cleanly, and keep key visual details consistent across edits. Users can also make more precise changes with tools like magic wand editing, segmentation, background removal, smart resizing, and multi-reference editing with up to five input images. xAI says API access is coming soon.

🤔 Hunter’s take: Image AI is moving from “make me a cool picture” to “help me finish actual creative work.” The big unlock is control. If these tools can edit one part of an image without wrecking the rest, they become useful for marketers, creators, e-commerce teams, and small businesses that need polished visuals fast.

What’s cookin’? Google DeepMind says its new WeatherNext 2 AI model made a major jump in predicting tropical cyclones, including where they will go, how strong they will become, and how their winds will spread. Cyclones and hurricanes are difficult to forecast because small changes in temperature, wind, and pressure can quickly change a storm’s path or intensity. WeatherNext 2 uses AI to study huge amounts of weather data and spot patterns faster than traditional forecasting methods. According to Google, the model can provide about an extra day of warning, which could help communities prepare earlier. The company is also open-sourcing the model so researchers around the world can test and build on it.

🤔 Hunter’s take: Better forecasts do not just make weather apps smarter. They give people more time to evacuate, protect homes, move supplies, and make hard decisions before a storm arrives. This is the kind of stuff that saves lives.

💬 PROMPT OF THE DAY:

Act as a customer success leader. Create an early warning system for an implementation plan. List the behaviors or metrics that show a customer, project, employee, or channel may be at risk. For each warning sign, give me a response script and a prevention process. Be specific to my business, avoid generic advice, and give me outputs I can use immediately.
