🛠️ NEW AI TOOLS 🛠️
What’s cookin’? OpenAI just introduced GPT-Live, a new voice model designed to make talking with ChatGPT feel much more like a real conversation. Unlike older voice systems that waited for you to stop talking before responding, GPT-Live uses a “full-duplex” setup, meaning it can listen and speak at the same time. That lets it react naturally with quick acknowledgments like “mhmm,” wait while you think, avoid awkward interruptions, and handle faster back-and-forth. For harder questions, GPT-Live can hand the deeper work to GPT-5.5 in the background while keeping the conversation flowing.
🤔 Hunter’s take: Voice is becoming the most natural way people will use AI. Typing makes AI feel like a tool. Talking makes it feel like a companion, tutor, assistant, or coworker. That is powerful, but also a little delicate. The better AI gets at sounding human, the more important it becomes to remember what it is: helpful software, not a person.

What’s cookin’? Meta is rolling out Muse Image, its first image generation model from Meta Superintelligence Labs, inside Meta AI. The tool lets people create or edit images by typing simple prompts, blending multiple photos, using suggested presets, or sketching edits directly on a picture. It can restore old photos, remove background distractions, redesign rooms with real products from the web or Facebook Marketplace, and even generate images with readable text for things like posters or infographics. Muse Image is already powering new creative tools on Instagram and WhatsApp, with Facebook, Messenger, and advertiser tools coming soon.
🤔 Hunter’s take: The big deal here is not just AI pictures. It’s that Meta is weaving image generation directly into the places people already share their lives. That makes AI creativity feel less like opening a separate tool and more like texting, posting, shopping, or decorating. The future of AI might not look like “using AI.” It might just look like using Instagram. And that could get … well, interesting.
