LYRIA CAMERA LETS YOU SOUNDTRACK YOUR LIFE 🎧

What’s new? Google has launched Lyria Camera, a new app that turns what your camera sees into live, continuously changing music.

How does it work? Lyria Camera combines two AI systems: Gemini and the Lyria RealTime API. Gemini analyzes the live camera feed and translates visual details—such as movement, lighting, or scenery—into descriptive musical prompts like “calm cityscape” or “reflective piano.” These prompts are then sent to Lyria RealTime, which generates music instantly and continuously. As your surroundings change, the prompts update and the music smoothly shifts to match, creating an ongoing soundtrack that evolves in real time without stopping.

Why is this significant? Lyria Camera shows how AI can blur the line between everyday life and creative expression. It turns ordinary moments—commutes, walks, or even computer screens—into interactive musical experiences. Beyond being fun, it points to a future where music is dynamic, responsive, and personalized.

GOOGLE’S VIRTUAL TRY-ON TOOL JUST GOT CRAZY 🤯

What’s up? Google announced a new shoppable discovery feed in Doppl, an experimental app that uses AI to show how clothes might look on you.

How does this work? The new feed looks like a scrolling video stream filled with AI-generated clips of you (well, your personalized digital avatar) dressed in real clothing items. Doppl creates this avatar using photos you upload and style preferences you share, then learns your taste by tracking which outfits you interact with. It turns virtual try-on images into short videos so you can see how clothes might move and fit on your body. Nearly every item in the feed is shoppable, with direct links to retailers.

Why does this matter? Shopping is increasingly driven by visual, video-first experiences. By replacing human influencers with AI-generated versions of shoppers themselves, Google is testing a new form of personalized e-commerce that could change how people discover, evaluate, and buy clothing online.

GOOGLE IS BUILDING AI-POWERED SMART GLASSES 👓

What’s up? Google announced new AI-powered smart glasses coming in the future, designed to offer hands-free assistance. There is no timeline yet for this release, but rumors say sometime in early to mid-2026.

What will they look like? The upcoming AI glasses are being developed with partners like Samsung, Gentle Monster, and Warby Parker, and are built to look and feel like everyday eyewear. Using microphones, speakers, and cameras, the glasses let users talk naturally with Google’s Gemini AI, take photos, ask questions about their surroundings, and get reminders. Some versions will be “screen-free,” relying entirely on audio, while display-equipped models will include a small, private in-lens screen. This display can show helpful information—such as turn-by-turn navigation or live translation captions—directly in your line of sight, only when needed.

Why should you care? This signals a shift toward truly wearable AI that blends seamlessly into daily life, offering useful information and assistance without the distraction or social barrier of pulling out a phone. If Google can pull this off, they will be able to compete directly with Meta’s Ray-Ban lineup.
