💬 PROMPT OF THE DAY:
Help me define the decision hidden inside this messy situation: [describe it]. Separate facts, emotions, assumptions, and unrelated concerns. State the decision in one sentence, identify the deadline, and list what is actually within my control.
What’s cookin’? Tesla just showed off a redesigned Roadster that doesn’t simply go fast — it can literally launch into the air. Built with help from SpaceX engineers, the new Roadster uses rocket-style thrusters to produce extreme acceleration and control the car while airborne. Tesla says it can go from 0 to 60 mph in under one second, hit speeds above 230 mph, leap over vehicles, twist in midair, and even perform controlled flips. One version will reportedly include a “full flight system.” Tesla says production is planned for 2028, although questions remain about how — or whether — some of these features could legally be used on public roads.
🤔 Hunter’s take: There are very few times where I’m actually speechless. It’s actually a flying car. For real.
What’s cookin’? Google says it has found a better way to reduce errors inside quantum computers, one of the biggest problems holding the technology back. Quantum computers are extremely powerful in theory, but they are also very fragile and prone to mistakes. Google tested a new method called “magic state cultivation” on its Willow quantum chip that helps create cleaner, more reliable quantum information. Think of it like repeatedly filtering dirty water until what remains is much purer. Google says the method reduced errors by about 40 times and worked on a real quantum processor.
🤔 Hunter’s take: Google’s breakthrough could make it easier to build machines reliable enough to tackle problems normal computers struggle with, like designing new drugs, discovering better materials, or solving incredibly complex optimization problems. We’re not there yet, but this removes one of the biggest roadblocks between today’s experimental quantum computers and ones that could actually be useful.
