CHATGPT’S VOICE GETS NEEDED UPGRADE 🗣️

“Stop interrupting me!” 😡

What’s up? OpenAI has updated its Advanced Voice Mode to make ChatGPT more conversational and less interruptive.

What’s been updated? The new update tweaks how ChatGPT listens and responds during voice conversations. Free users can now pause while speaking without being cut off, while paying users gain access to a more refined version of the AI assistant that interrupts less often and speaks with a more engaging, creative personality. These changes aim to make interactions with ChatGPT feel more like natural human dialogue and less like talking to a robot.

Why should you care? AI voice assistants are quickly becoming everyday tools, and smoother, more human-like conversations are key to their usefulness. ChatGPT’s Advanced Voice has long had a feature where it will interrupt you when you pause, attempting to make conversations more lifelike. However, its constant interruptions are frustrating for users. This new update makes it easier for users to have seamless, real-time conversations with AI without getting cut off every time they stop speaking for a second.

BILL GATES: ONLY 3 JOBS ARE SAFE FROM AI 😳

When Bill Gates donates 30% of his net worth, he is praised as a generous hero. But when I do it, people tell me they don’t accept donations under $10. 🙃

What happened? In a recent wave of interviews, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates said that while AI will take over many tasks, at least three types of jobs—coders, biologists, and energy experts—remain safe.

Why? Gates explained that while AI can automate physical labor, generate ideas, and even diagnose diseases, it still lacks the nuance, oversight, and creativity that certain professions demand. Coders, he said, will be needed to monitor and refine AI systems, ensuring they don’t act “crazy stupid.” Biologists must continue driving scientific discovery, particularly in areas where AI lacks real-world context or intuition. And energy systems, with their complexity and infrastructure demands, still require human expertise.

Why should you care? This idea pushes back against the fear that AI will take every job. While AI will undoubtedly reshape work in many fields, Gates’ remarks suggest that human judgment, creativity, and problem-solving aren’t going out of style—and might even become more valuable in the AI age. And as a side note: it’s very likely that more jobs than the ones Gates listed will adapt to this technology.

AMAZON USES AI TO MAKE SHOPPING MORE INTERESTING 🛍️

Want to know everything you need to know about a person? Look at their Amazon shopping history. 😅

What’s new? Amazon has introduced a new feature called Interests that uses AI to help you discover products related to your personal hobbies and preferences.

Want the details? Interests uses generative AI to turn your everyday language—like “new golf gear” or “indie band merch”—into smart product searches that run continuously in the background. Just type in what you’re into, set your price range and preferences, and the AI will alert you when new products that match your interests hit Amazon’s store. This feature is currently available to a small group of U.S. app users, with plans to expand soon. This is meant to take the hassle out of searching for the best items, tailored to your preferences.
