What’s cookin’? Bluehost released a new report showing that most U.S. small business owners are already using AI, but many still do not feel fully confident with it. In a survey of 350 small business owners, 87% said they use at least one AI tool, and more than half use AI daily. Still, owners rated their ability to use AI effectively at only 5.3 out of 10. Here’s what else was found:
Of those using AI, 78% of owners save time every week, and nearly half (48%) save four or more hours a week
39% reported some level of revenue growth since adopting AI
Owners who self-report high confidence in their use of AI are nearly 3X as likely to see revenue gains as low-confidence owners (65% compared with 23%)
Owners with more than two years of AI experience are roughly 2X as likely to see positive revenue impact as newer users (55% compared with 27%)
Owners that report saving 16+ hours per week using AI are 3.7X as likely to report a positive revenue impact than those saving 1-3 hours (72% vs 20%)

🤔 Hunter’s take: The winners will not just be the businesses “using AI.” They’ll be the ones that know where to trust it, where to guide it, and where humans still matter.

What’s cookin’? ElevenLabs has released a free audiobook version of Homer’s The Odyssey on its ElevenReader app, narrated by the official AI voice of Sir Michael Caine. The production uses Caine’s licensed AI voice replica, along with a full cast of AI-generated character voices, original music, and sound effects. The result is meant to feel less like a plain audiobook and more like an immersive audio drama. ElevenLabs says this is the first original audiobook from ElevenProductions, its in-house production arm, and it covers Odysseus’s full journey from the fall of Troy through his famous encounters with gods, monsters, and the long road home.
🤔 Hunter’s take: This matters because AI voice is moving from novelty to real cultural production. The key detail is consent: Caine’s voice is official, not scraped or stolen. If done right, this could make classic stories feel alive for new audiences without replacing human creativity.
