CLAUDE IS YOUR NEW COWORKER 🦾

What’s new? Anthropic has launched Cowork, a new tool that lets Claude help users organize files, create documents, and complete tasks directly on their computer.

How does it work? Unlike regular chats with Claude, Cowork gives the AI controlled access to a folder on your computer. From there, it can read, edit, and generate files—like renaming cluttered downloads, pulling data from screenshots into spreadsheets, or turning messy notes into a polished report. You can assign tasks, and Claude will plan and complete them while keeping you updated. It’s all designed to feel more like working with a helpful assistant than having a back-and-forth conversation.

Why does this matter? This shifts Claude from being just a chat tool to a true digital coworker. If you’ve ever wished an AI could “just do it” instead of asking you questions, Cowork brings that vision closer—especially for busy people juggling a bunch of tasks.

U.S. WAR DEPARTMENT BUILDS “AI SWAT TEAM” 🪖

What’s up? The War Department just launched a major effort to speed up how AI is developed and used across the U.S. military in the form of a new “AI SWAT team.”

Want the details? Air Force veteran Cameron Stanley has been named the new Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAO). He’ll lead a tech-focused team responsible for setting goals, building powerful AI systems, and partnering with companies like SpaceX and xAI. At the same time, a new “barrier removal SWAT team” has been formed to break down anything slowing progress—such as blocked access to data, slow approvals, or outdated rules. The War Department also plans to build high-powered data centers on military bases, unlock previously siloed military data, and focus on AI that helps keep the U.S. military ahead in the digital age.

Why does this matter? These efforts could give the U.S. military a major edge. By moving faster and working with top tech partners, the War Department aims to lead in the global race for military AI dominance.

SLACKBOT IS NOW AN AI AGENT 🤖

Image: Salesforce

What’s up? Salesforce just launched a powerful upgrade to Slackbot, giving it the ability to answer your questions by pulling information from Slack, Salesforce, Google Drive, and other tools.

How does it work? The new Slackbot uses generative AI, powered by Anthropic’s Claude model, to understand your conversations, files, and channels—within the limits of your access. That means you can ask it things like “Did I respond to that client?” or “What’s the latest on the Q3 project?” and get useful, context-aware answers. It’s available to Business+ and Enterprise+ Slack users and can search across major work tools like Google Drive, Confluence, and Box. This upgrade could save busy teams serious time by cutting down on endless searching and context-switching
