ADS ARE LIKELY COMING TO CHATGPT 💰

What’s going on? OpenAI is internally testing ads inside ChatGPT, marking the first time the platform may show promotional content to its massive user base.

Want the details? Until now, users could chat freely without seeing ads, unlike Google Search, which mixes answers with sponsored links. Because ChatGPT processes billions of prompts and learns user preferences through conversation, the system could eventually deliver highly personalized product recommendations—far more targeted than traditional web ads. Early leaks indicate that ads will appear only in search-style results, but this could expand over time as the platform grows.

Why should you care? If ChatGPT begins serving ads, it could reshape the entire online advertising economy. With over 800 million weekly users and unmatched insight into what people actually want, OpenAI could become one of the most influential ad platforms in the world.

Want our take? In order to personalize ads, OpenAI will need access to your chats. The company is going to have a heck of a time navigating privacy concerns with this one, and if they find a way to tailor ads through ChatGPT, it would cause many to question the integrity of the answers they receive. How do people know they are getting a truthful answer and not just one with money behind it? Nevertheless, the market for this is so large that ads seem inevitable. Let’s just hope OpenAI uses the extra income to offer premium services at a lower price.

DID WARNER AND SUNO SOLVE THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH AI MUSIC? 🎵

Image: Suno

What’s up? Warner Music Group and Suno have formed a landmark partnership to build a licensed, artist-friendly ecosystem for AI-generated music. This comes after Warner Music filed a lawsuit against Suno over copyright infringement.

Want the details? The deal combines Suno’s AI music technology with Warner Music’s global roster, giving artists full control over whether their names, voices, and songs can be used in AI creations. Suno will launch new licensed models in 2026 and phase out its current ones. Free users will still be able to make and share music but won’t be allowed to download tracks, while paid users will have monthly download limits with options to buy more. As part of the partnership, Suno is also acquiring Songkick to connect AI-driven music creation with live concert discovery and fan interactions.

Why does this matter? This partnership sets a clearer blueprint for ethical, licensed AI music—protecting artists, creating new revenue opportunities, and giving fans safer and more meaningful ways to engage with AI-generated songs.

AMAZON EMPLOYEES ISSUE WARNING LETTER TO LEADERS 📝

What’s up? More than 1,000 Amazon employees—joined by over 2,000 others from major tech players—have signed an open letter warning that the company’s rapid push into AI is harming democracy, threatening jobs, and worsening environmental damage.

Want the details? Joined by employees from companies like Microsoft, Google, Meta, and Apple, the Amazon employees accused the tech giant of racing to deploy AI without meaningful safeguards. Their letter argues that Amazon’s “warp-speed” development is widening the gap between its climate promises and its actual emissions, which workers say have risen about 35% since 2019. The employees point to Amazon’s plan to spend $150 billion on new AI data centers. Additionally, they claim the company is unfairly cutting jobs and pressuring workers to use AI tools in ways that don’t improve productivity or fairness. They are demanding strict limits on how Amazon’s AI systems can be used, especially regarding surveillance, policing, and fossil fuel extraction.
