OpenAI has acquired Statsig, a startup that helps companies test new features and acquire real-time data, for $1.1 billion. Statsig CEO Vijaye Raji will join OpenAI as head of technology in its applications division, reporting to former Instacart CEO Fidji Simo. While Statsig will continue operating independently, the deal strengthens OpenAI’s push to build AI-powered products at scale—part of a broader wave of acquisitions including its $6.5 billion purchase of Jony Ive’s AI hardware company earlier this year. Anthropic just raised $13 billion in a massive Series F funding round led by ICONIQ, valuing the company at $183 billion. This marks one of the largest AI investments ever and highlights explosive demand for Anthropic’s Claude AI platform, which now serves over 300,000 business customers and has reached a $5 billion run-rate in under two years. The funding will fuel global expansion, continued AI safety research, and further growth of its enterprise, developer, and consumer tools. (Read More)
