OPENAI LAUNCHES GPT-5.1 🦾

What’s up? OpenAI released GPT‑5.1, bringing major upgrades to how ChatGPT thinks, responds, and matches your personal tone.

Want the details? The new update includes two improved models: GPT‑5.1 Instant, which responds faster and feels more conversational and playful, and GPT‑5.1 Thinking, which now adjusts how much “brainpower” it uses depending on the complexity of your question: quick with simple answers, but deeper and clearer when things get tricky. Both models are also better at following your instructions, using warmth, empathy, and precision when it matters most.

Why should you care? GPT‑5.1 makes ChatGPT feel more human and more helpful. Whether you're stressed and need support, learning something new, or asking tough questions, the responses feel smarter and more natural. Plus, with new settings to adjust tone and style—from professional to quirky—you can finally make ChatGPT sound just right for you. This alleviates a major criticism of GPT-5, which many found impersonal.

ICONIC VOICES ARE NOW FOR SALE 🗣️

Image: ElevenLabs

What happened? AI voice company ElevenLabs has launched the Iconic Voice Marketplace, where companies can legally license AI-generated voices of famous figures for content and ads.

How does this work? ElevenLabs’ new platform connects brands with the rights holders of well-known voices—living or historical—so their AI replicas can be used with full permission. The company acts as the middleman, securing licensing deals and using voice cloning or archival audio to synthesize the voices. Only verified talent or estates are included, meaning each voice is licensed transparently and ethically. Some of the initial voices include Babe Ruth, Shoeless Joe Jackson, Mark Twain, along with 25 others.

Why is this significant? This move sets a new industry standard for using AI voices responsibly. Instead of copying voices without consent, ElevenLabs puts performers and their rights at the center. It opens creative opportunities for companies and storytellers while respecting legacy and identity. As AI becomes more common in media, this marketplace shows how innovation and ethics can work together.
