🛠️ NEW AI TOOLS 🛠️
💬 PROMPT OF THE DAY:
I am new at [skill] and hate feeling bad at it. Create a beginner mindset plan with a realistic expectation for mistakes, one metric for progress, and a practice goal that rewards consistency instead of talent.
What’s cookin’? OpenAI has introduced GPT-6 Astra, its newest and most powerful AI model. Think of Astra as the next version of ChatGPT, but built to do more than answer questions. OpenAI says it is better at using websites, writing code, analyzing data, creating documents, building presentations, and completing tasks inside real software. In simple terms, Astra is designed to act less like a chatbot and more like a capable digital assistant. You can ask it to research something, make a spreadsheet, troubleshoot code, organize information, or work through a multi-step project without needing as much hand-holding.
🤔 Hunter’s take: Astra is a huge release, and it follows the biggest industry trend right now. The big deal here is that AI is becoming less about asking a question and getting a response, and more about handing off work. That is a significant shift.
P.S. The video (above) is definitely worth a watch!
What’s cookin’? Nvidia agreed to buy Hugging Face, one of the most important open-source AI platforms, for $12.9 billion. Hugging Face is basically a giant hub where developers, researchers, and companies share AI models, datasets, and tools. Instead of building every AI system from scratch, people can download, test, improve, and build on models that others have already created. Nvidia says Hugging Face will stay open, but the deal gives the chip giant a much bigger role beyond selling GPUs. It now gets closer to the developers actually building the AI apps, models, and infrastructure that run on those chips.
🤔 Hunter’s take: Nvidia is not just selling the picks and shovels anymore. It is buying part of the mining town. Hugging Face sits where AI development actually happens, so Nvidia now gets influence over both the hardware and the community shaping what gets built next.
