ELON MUSK REVEALS TESLA’S ROBOTAXI 🚕

Self-driving cars are so arrogant. They are always driving around, tooting their own horns. 🚘

What’s new? Tesla has finally showcased the long-awaited Cybercab robotaxi, which might just completely reshape how we think about transportation.

Want the details? Revealed by Elon Musk during an event in Hollywood, the Tesla Cybercab is designed as a fully autonomous robotaxi, eliminating the need for human drivers entirely. That’s right—there are no steering wheels or pedals in this car. Key to the Cybercab’s function is the integration of Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology, which leverages advanced AI vision and sensors to navigate complex driving environments. The Cybercab, initially demoed as a two-seat vehicle, is set for production starting in 2026 and will be priced at $20,000-$30,000. During this event, Tesla also revealed a larger, self-driving Robovan which can hold up to 20 people and blew away the public with its futuristic design.

Why is this significant? Self-driving cars have been promised for a long time, but they have not yet made significant strides in production or adoption. With advanced AI capabilities, this is all changing. Not only are these cars going to be manufactured within a few years, but they will be sold for an affordable price, on par with traditional cars. The driverless future we have always imagined might only be a few years down the road!

“This is a very big deal … I think it’s going to be a glorious future.”

-Elon Musk

AMD UNVEILS NEW AI CHIP 💾

Forget about computer chips. We want computer fries! 🍟

What’s new? AMD has unveiled its new Instinct MI325X AI chip, designed to directly compete with Nvidia’s Blackwell series in the AI and machine learning space.

Want the details? The MI325x, with significant improvements in power efficiency and computational performance compared to existing chips, is aimed at meeting the growing demand for AI workloads in industries such as autonomous driving, healthcare, and large-scale data analysis. By leveraging cutting-edge architecture and advanced accelerators, AMD hopes this chip will challenge Nvidia’s dominance in AI hardware, offering an alternative solution for businesses looking to optimize AI systems at scale. This marks a crucial step in the ongoing chip race for AI supremacy.

ZOOM ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR AI AVATARS 👩‍💻

Want to hear a funny joke? Zoom meetings. 🙃

What’s up? As part of its growing AI toolkit, Zoom has announced plans to let users create AI avatars that can send short messages to their teams.

How will this work? To set up an avatar, users will need to record a video of themselves, which Zoom’s AI will use to generate a lookalike that can also mimic their voice. Once set up, these avatars can easily deliver written messages using Zoom’s Clips feature. These custom AI avatars are expected to roll out next year as part of Zoom’s AI Companion add-on, which will cost an additional $12 per month. Users with a paid Zoom subscription will still have access to preset AI avatars and voices without the add-on.

Why should you care? Zoom’s AI avatars offer a glimpse into the future of work and communication, where managing time and multitasking might become easier. Imagine being able to send quick video updates or attend low-stakes meetings without actually being present, freeing up time for more important tasks—or even personal time. For many, this means more control over their time and less burnout from constant meetings and other digital demands.
