AI BOTS INFILTRATE REDDIT 😳

What happened? Researchers secretly deployed AI bots on Reddit to influence user discussions, sparking outrage and legal threats from the platform.

Want the details? A research team from the University of Zurich embedded AI-generated personas in Reddit’s popular r/changemyview forum without informing users or moderators. The bots posed as real people—ranging from abuse counselors to members of marginalized groups—and wrote over 1,000 comments designed to challenge opinions. While the researchers claimed to have included ethical safeguards and human oversight, the project involved collecting demographic data from users to craft personalized, persuasive replies—all under false identities. Reddit, unaware of the experiment, has now banned the accounts and is pursuing legal action.

NVIDIA MAKES IMAGE GENERATION MORE ACCURATE 🙌

What happened? Nvidia has released a new AI tool that uses generative AI to turn customizable 3D scenes into detailed 2D images.

How does it work? The tool, called Nvidia AI Blueprint for 3D-guided generative AI (Nvidia needs to work on more creative names), lets users sketch out rough 3D scenes in Blender, a popular modeling program, and then uses those scenes as a guide for generating 2D images with FLUX.1, an advanced AI image generator. Instead of relying solely on text prompts (which can be hit or miss), users can control the scene’s composition, perspective, and object placement before generating the final image. This tool is designed for developers using high-end Nvidia RTX 4080 GPUs or better and comes with sample assets and instructions to help users get started.

Why is this significant? This approach gives users much more control than text-to-image tools alone, reducing trial and error. It’s a major step toward blending 3D design and AI creativity, with potential benefits for game developers, artists, and content creators.
