IS YOUR PLAYLIST AI-POWERED? 🎧
If your tunes aren’t aided by AI, then you’re doing music all wrong! 🎵
What’s new? Amazon Music just launched a new AI-powered search feature that helps users explore artists more deeply and create custom playlists on the fly.
How does this work? Now, when you search for an artist like BLACKPINK or Jelly Roll in the Amazon Music app, the results go beyond songs—they include curated collections, notable collaborations, and even artist backstories. This new search experience, powered by Amazon’s Bedrock AI tech, lets users tap into richer music recommendations and instantly generate playlists based on the artist’s sound. The feature is currently in beta and rolling out gradually to U.S. Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers on iOS.
Why does this matter? This feature makes music discovery more personal and engaging, especially for fans looking to dig deeper into their favorite artists or find similar new ones. It’s another step in using AI to make music more intuitive, creative, and fun.
GITHUB GETS COPILOT CODING INTEGRATION 👨💻
The only thing better than working code is finally getting a different error message. 🙃
What happened? GitHub, owned by Microsoft, has launched a new AI coding agent directly in the platform that can handle tasks like fixing bugs or writing code. It then submits the work for developers to review and approve.
How does this work? The new feature, introduced at Microsoft’s Build conference, allows developers to assign tasks to the Copilot agent directly in GitHub—like asking it to improve code or fix an issue. Powered by Anthropic’s Claude 3.7 Sonnet model, the agent creates new code, summarizes its work, and acts like another member of the team. Developers can review the AI’s changes, suggest edits, and choose whether to merge it with their existing files. It’s not designed to generate new projects entirely, but rather to help with routine tasks in well-tested codebases. It is currently available in preview for paid Copilot users.
“Using state-of-the-art models, the agent excels at low-to-medium complexity tasks in well-tested codebases, from adding features and fixing bugs to extending tests, refactoring code, and improving documentation.”
Why does this matter? This is another step toward making AI a regular part of software development. It helps developers work faster and focus on more complex, creative tasks—like solving big problems—while AI handles the routine tasks that can often be frustrating.
GOOGLE LAUNCHES NOTEBOOKLM APP 📝
Want quick summaries of long videos and documents? There’s an app for that. 😁
What happened? Google just released a mobile app for NotebookLM on Android and iOS.
How does this work? NotebookLM is a tool designed to help people understand complex information more easily. With the new mobile app, users can now listen to AI-generated audio overviews offline, ask questions directly within the app, and save content from websites, PDFs, or YouTube videos by simply tapping the share button. You can even listen offline or in the background while doing other things. Whether you’re riding the subway or switching between apps, the experience is designed to be smooth and flexible.
Why should you care? If you’re someone who juggles a lot of reading, research, or information-heavy tasks, NotebookLM can now support you wherever you are. This app brings AI-powered summaries and insights right to your pocket—making it easier to stay informed, study, or work smarter on the go.
