ANTHROPIC DEVELOPS NEW WAY TO TEST AI BIAS ⚖️

Image: Anthropic

What’s up? Anthropic has developed a new way to test whether its AI model, Claude, treats political viewpoints fairly. Anthropic has shared its evaluation method publicly to help create an industry-wide standard for measuring political bias in AI.

How does this work? Using a method called “paired prompts,” Anthropic evaluated how Claude and other AI models respond to politically charged questions from opposing sides. The test measured whether the models gave equally thoughtful answers to both perspectives without showing bias, ignoring one side, or refusing to engage with the prompt. Claude Sonnet 4.5 scored 94% in fairness, nearly matching or outperforming competitors like GPT-5 and Llama 4.

Why should you care? People want AI that respects their independence and doesn’t push a political agenda. If AI is to be trusted, especially in high-stakes topics like politics, it needs to explain—not persuade.

JEFF BEZOS LAUNCHES NEW AI COMPANY 🤖

What’s up? Jeff Bezos, the former CEO of Amazon, is co-founding and co-leading a new $6.2 billion AI startup called Project Prometheus, focused on using AI in manufacturing and engineering.

Want some details? The highly funded startup aims to build AI tools for industries like aerospace, drug discovery, and automotive. His co-CEO, Vik Bajaj, is a respected scientist with a track record at Google X and other AI ventures. While few technical details are known, the company already has nearly 100 employees—including talent from OpenAI and Meta—and is riding the wave of interest in “physical AI,” which refers to AI used in the real world, not just in text or image generation.

OPENAI IS TESTING “GROUP CHATS” FOR CHATGPT 💬

Image: OpenAI

What’s going on? ChatGPT is piloting a new group chat feature that lets people collaborate together, and with ChatGPT, in the same conversation. For now, the feature is being tested with users in Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, and Taiwan.

How does it work? This new feature allows users to start group chats with friends, family, or coworkers to brainstorm, plan, or just have fun—while ChatGPT joins in to help. Anyone in the chat can ask questions, suggest ideas, or request help, and ChatGPT responds when it’s needed. You can even customize how ChatGPT behaves in each group. These group chats are separate from your private conversations, and your personal ChatGPT memory is never shared.

Why is this significant? Whether you’re planning a trip or collaborating at work, this feature turns ChatGPT into a helpful teammate for your group. It’s a new way to solve problems, create together, or settle debates, all in one place.
