🛠️ NEW AI TOOLS 🛠️
What’s up? Yelp has dropped a new-and-improved AI assistant, allowing users to ask questions, get recommendations, and take actions like booking a restaurant, ordering food, or scheduling a service all within one conversation.
How does it work? Yelp’s new assistant is designed to make the app feel more like a helpful guide than just a review site. A user can ask something natural, like where to hike with an off-leash dog, where to grab takeout nearby, or how to find someone to paint a house, and the assistant will respond using Yelp’s business listings, reviews, and other business details. It can also connect people to outside services like DoorDash, Grubhub, and Calendly to complete the next step.
Why does this matter? Yelp is turning static search into actionable insights. Instead of bouncing between reviews, websites, and booking tools, users can move faster in one flow. That could make Yelp far more useful in everyday life.
What’s up? Starbucks launched a beta Starbucks app in ChatGPT that helps people discover drinks by describing their mood, cravings, or even sharing a photo.
How does it work? The new feature is designed to make drink discovery feel more natural and personal. Instead of searching through a menu and guessing what to order, users can simply tell ChatGPT what kind of drink they want, such as something refreshing, not too sweet, or good for a slow morning. They can also upload a photo, like a sunset, their outfit, or their workspace, and the app will suggest Starbucks drinks that match the feeling or vibe. After that, users can customize the drink, choose a nearby store, and begin their order in ChatGPT before finishing checkout in the Starbucks app or website.

🚨⭐️ Unique opportunity: “Philosophy of AI”
DeepMind is paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for philosophical insights.
As a professional philosopher, I’m giving them away in an insider email every week.
Same Kafka Protocol. Zero Kafka Baggage.
WarpStream BYOC speaks the Kafka protocol. Your existing clients, tools, and consumers work as-is. What disappears: local disks, partition rebalancing, inter-AZ fees, broker crashes, and capacity planning.
Agents auto-scale to match traffic automatically – no custom tooling, scripts, or operators required. Cursor's team reported spending zero hours thinking about scaling WarpStream. Character.AI called it operationally simpler at scale.
