GEMINI FACES 100,000-PROMPT ATTACK 👨‍💻

Image: Google

What happened? Google says attackers tried over 100,000 prompts in an attempt to clone its Gemini AI chatbot.

How did this happen? In a new report, Google revealed that private companies and researchers have launched “distillation attacks” on Gemini — bombarding it with over 100,000 prompts to reverse-engineer how it works. These attackers aim to uncover Gemini’s logic and decision-making processes, hoping to replicate or improve their own AI tools. Google called this a form of “model extraction,” or essentially trying to steal the intelligence that makes Gemini valuable.

Why does this matter? If attackers can extract how these models think, they might steal not just code but entire competitive advantages. Google says it's tightening defenses, but the arms race between AI builders and attackers is just getting started — and smaller players remain the most vulnerable.

WHY ARE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT SEEDANCE 2.0? 🎥

What’s up? ByteDance has released Seedance 2.0, an AI video generator that can turn multiple reference files into a single, polished video.

Want the details? Unlike earlier models that relied mainly on short text prompts, Seedance 2.0 lets users upload a mix of text, images, video clips, and audio. The AI blends these inputs into one coherent scene, mimicking the work of a human director. For example, someone could upload a painting for style, a dance clip for motion, and a song for mood — and the tool will generate a realistic video combining all three.

Why does this matter? This pushes AI-generated video closer to Hollywood quality. It could save creators time and money, empowering small teams or individuals to make high-end visuals. But it’s also raising concerns over copyright, as people have already begun posting clips featuring lookalike actors and scenes inspired by famous films. This led one famous director to proclaim, “I hate to say it, but it’s likely over for us.” The truth of that statement still remains to be seen, but the sentiment is clear: AI is approaching the highest quality.
