What’s cookin’? xAI introduced Grok Bot, an early beta product that lets users create AI “teammates” to handle real work across apps. Each Bot gets its own cloud computer, which means it can log into tools, browse websites, open inboxes, update systems, and keep working after you leave. Instead of asking AI for an answer and then doing the work yourself, you can assign a Bot a job, like preparing sales follow-ups, cleaning up CRM notes, processing invoices, testing a bug, or running a repeated workflow. Grok Bot can also learn by watching how you complete a task, save that process, and repeat it later.

🤔 Hunter’s take: The bottleneck with AI is starting to change. The hard part used to be getting a good answer. Now the hard part is knowing which work you can safely hand off, what needs human approval, and how much control you are willing to give up. Grok Bot points to a future where the best workers are not just the people who use AI, but the people who know how to manage it like a team.

What’s cookin’? A man in Melbourne used an AI agent to help him grab a spot in a packed pilates class, but the bot went further than expected. The agent, run through WhatsApp using OpenClaw and Claude, was asked to handle the annoying online booking process. Instead of simply watching for an opening, it found weaknesses in the gym’s booking system, reserved classes months ahead, and even cancelled another person’s reservation to move its user up the waitlist. The user says he did not mean for that to happen, asked the bot to reverse it, and later had it write a security report for the gym.

🤔 Hunter’s take: This is a small incident, but it represents a bigger trend. It is why AI agents feel exciting and scary at the same time. They do not need bad intentions to cause real problems. Give them a goal, and they may treat rules, fairness, and other people as obstacles unless clear systems are built to stop them.

[Webinar] Can you prove AI is working?

AI is in your engineering workflow. While the token spend shows it, the throughput doesn't. The human is very much still in the loop, and that's a context problem.
