What’s new? Google announced Googlebook, a new kind of laptop built around its new Gemini AI system, with devices expected later in 2026.

Want the details? Googlebook combines parts of Android and ChromeOS into one laptop experience. Google says the main idea is to make Gemini feel built into the computer, not added on later. One new feature, called Magic Pointer, gives AI help based on what you are pointing at on the screen, such as suggesting a meeting when you hover over a date in an email. Another feature lets people create custom desktop widgets with simple prompts, pulling in information from apps like Gmail and Calendar. Google also says Googlebook will work closely with Android phones, including easy access to phone apps and files.

Why should you care? This will make Google’s laptops more proactive and personal, with AI helping people organize tasks and move smoothly across devices.

⭐️ Most people stay at the surface … but the future rewards those who dig deeper.
