The system works by generating “self-edits”—basically, the model writes instructions and examples to improve its own performance. A feedback loop rewards edits that lead to better results. In tests, SEAL-trained models actually outperformed those trained with data from more powerful models like GPT-4.1 and dramatically improved at solving puzzles, jumping from 0% accuracy to over 70%.

GETTY TAKES STABILITY AI TO COURT 👨‍⚖️
