What’s cookin’? Grok Bot is pushing AI in a new direction. Instead of waiting for you to tell it what to do, it can start suggesting what you should do next. Because the Bot keeps context on your work and can operate inside connected tools, it can notice unfinished tasks, gaps, or logical next steps and bring them to you. In one example, after handling one piece of work, Grok Bot notices another part of the pipeline still needs attention and suggests creating a separate agent to take care of it. The key change is simple: you’re not always the one starting the conversation anymore.

🤔 Hunter’s take: For years, getting value from AI has depended on knowing what to ask. That may be changing. In the coming months, I think we’ll start seeing a shift from “YOU prompting AI” to “AI prompting YOU.”

What’s cookin’? Anthropic just released Claude Sonnet 5.5, a new AI model designed to do everyday work faster and for less money. It can write and fix code, analyze documents, build presentations, work with spreadsheets, and handle longer multi-step tasks. Anthropic says it runs more than 30% faster than the previous Sonnet model and can cost up to 30% less to complete the same job. The biggest improvement is in coding: on one test that asks AI to complete real computer tasks using a command line, Sonnet 5.5 scored 70.6%, compared with just 10.3% for Sonnet 5.

🤔 Hunter’s take: The price is what catches my attention here. Sonnet 5.5 still charges $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, but Anthropic says it can cost up to 30% less per task because it gets the work done with fewer tokens. That’s a big deal. AI doesn’t need to get dramatically cheaper on the price sheet if it becomes dramatically more efficient. For businesses running thousands of AI tasks, that difference can add up fast.
