💬 PROMPT OF THE DAY:

❝

I feel anxious right now about [what is happening]. Guide me through a 60-second reset. Give me one short instruction at a time using only posture, a slow exhale, noticing my surroundings, and releasing muscle tension. Keep it simple and do not analyze the cause until the reset is finished.

What’s cookin’? Google just introduced the Gemini agent, a new “universal” AI agent designed to handle work across Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slack, Microsoft 365, coding tools, and more. Instead of giving it step-by-step instructions, you can assign it an outcome, like researching a market, building a spreadsheet, creating a presentation, or coordinating a meeting. Gemini can keep working in the cloud after you close your laptop, remember your preferences and work history, and even create specialized sub-agents to tackle different parts of a project. It can also choose between different AI models, including Gemini and Anthropic’s Claude, depending on the task.

🤔 Hunter’s take: To me, this feels like Google realizing Claude is becoming the go-to AI for serious workplace use. But Google has one huge advantage: it already owns a big chunk of where people actually work. Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar — the plumbing is already there. If Google can make Gemini genuinely useful across all of it, without making the experience clunky, it may not need to beat Claude model-for-model. It just needs to make switching away from Google feel unnecessary.

What’s cookin’? Anthropic has launched a new Cyber Mission aimed at using Claude to help stop cyberattacks. One part will help protect important systems like power grids, water plants, factories, and transportation networks. Claude can scan software for weaknesses that hackers might use to break in, then help security teams understand and fix those problems. Anthropic is also launching a free tool called OSS Scanner that checks widely used open-source software for security flaws and can even suggest possible fixes.

🤔 Hunter’s take: AI is making it much easier to find weaknesses in software, which is good for defenders but also useful for hackers. That creates a race: whoever finds and acts on a vulnerability first has the advantage. Anthropic’s bet is that AI can help the good guys move faster. If that works, Claude could become less like a chatbot and more like a 24/7 digital security guard for systems we depend on every day.
