What’s cookin’? Epic Games is reportedly turning to AI to help finish its delayed Disney project after realizing it underestimated how many people were needed to build it. The game, which will include major Disney-owned characters from franchises like Marvel and Star Wars, was originally expected in March. Now, Epic has reportedly told employees there will be “no more hand-written code” and that development should use “full AI workflows.” The company says developers will still lead the creative process, with AI being used to accelerate the work.

🤔 Hunter’s take: This is one of the clearest examples yet of AI changing not just how games are made, but how companies think about staffing. Epic cut around 1,000 jobs a few months ago, then ran into a labor shortage on a major project, and is now leaning heavily on AI to close the gap.

What’s cookin’? Meta just launched Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, its most capable AI models yet, designed to act more like agents than simple chatbots. The models can handle multi-step tasks like reviewing a lease, navigating an insurance claim, analyzing finances, or building a working app. Two features stand out: Active Memory, which lets the AI remember useful details across conversations, and Active Focus, which helps it keep working when a task gets complicated, try new approaches, recover from mistakes, and ask for clarification when needed. Muse Wonder is available now through Meta’s Model API and Muse Code, with a broader rollout to Meta’s Muse assistant coming soon.

🤔 Hunter’s take: Meta is designing AI to persist. Most AI today helps you with one step; agents are being built to own the entire process. That changes AI from a tool you consult into something closer to a digital coworker you delegate to.
