🛠️ NEW AI TOOLS 🛠️
What’s cookin’? Anthropic is bringing Claude Cowork to web and mobile, after previously making it available on desktop. Cowork lets users give Claude a task and have it work through the session remotely, meaning the work runs on Anthropic’s servers instead of only on your computer. That matters because your sessions and files can now follow your Claude account across devices. You can start a task on desktop, check it on your phone, and continue from the web. Remote sessions can also keep running in the background, even if your laptop is closed, and scheduled tasks no longer need your computer to stay awake. Some features, like local file access, browser use, and computer control, still require the Claude Desktop app to be open.
🤔 Hunter’s take: Many people do work on the go and not in front of a desktop. The key change here is portability. Claude is carrying projects across devices, time, and context, which matches people’s fast-moving and flexible work patterns. That makes AI feel much closer to a digital coworker you can hand work to and check in on later.
What’s cookin’? Google Photos is adding a new AI feature called Video Remix that turns ordinary videos into polished, shareable clips in just a few taps. The tool lives inside the Create tab and is powered by Google’s Gemini Omni model. Instead of needing editing skills, users can pick from simple templates that automatically change the look and feel of a video. For example, Video Remix can brighten a dark clip with cinematic lighting, replace a boring background, or turn footage into styles like watercolor, oil painting, or a sketchbook drawing. The feature is rolling out now for eligible Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers in select countries.
🤔 Hunter’s take: This is another step toward making video editing feel less like a skill and more like a button. That’s useful, but it also means our personal memories may start looking more artificial, polished, and “content-ready” by default.
