✨ MYSTERY AI LINK
This link leads to one of the most interesting things I’ve seen in AI recently.
🛠️ NEW AI TOOLS 🛠️
📱 Pinku
Download a model once, then chat with it offline on a compatible iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Your messages are processed on your device.
🗂️ ChatNest
This Chrome extension lets you save AI chats in searchable folders and keep prompts handy for reuse.
THE BIG STORY
What’s cookin’? Give ChatGPT a sketch of a cat and ask it to wave. With Images 2.6, the updated image model behind ChatGPT’s creative tools, the result can be a short animation that loops. You can start with a photo or a written description, then adjust the playback speed, edit individual frames, and share the GIF from the same chat. OpenAI says the model is faster and better at preserving details through edits, like keeping a character’s outfit when you change the background. The model is available across ChatGPT subscription tiers, and GIF creation is rolling out gradually.
🤔 Hunter’s take: The useful part is being able to fix one frame at a time. If you’re animating a shop mascot and its face looks wrong halfway through the loop, you can work on that frame without throwing out the rest. That makes a small animation much more practical for someone who doesn’t use animation software.

What’s cookin’? Moonshot AI has published the files that let developers run Kimi K3.1 Pro on their own hardware. The model, which can work with text and images, was already available through Kimi’s apps and developer service. Now teams can download its weights, the settings the model learned during training, and run or adapt it themselves. The full download is about 1.56 terabytes, and running it takes substantial hardware. Moonshot’s license allows internal use and sets extra terms for some large commercial deployments.
🤔 Hunter’s take: The biggest change is who gets to decide where the model runs. A software team working with confidential code can test Kimi inside its own infrastructure, where it controls what the model can access and what gets logged. That’s a real option for teams that already have the hardware and the people to operate it. For everyone else, the hosted version is still the easier way to try it.
PROMPT OF THE DAY:
Create meals from these pantry, refrigerator, and freezer items: [list]. Prioritize ingredients that will spoil first, suggest reasonable substitutions, and identify only the few items worth buying.
HAS AI REACHED SINGULARITY? +0%
Holding at 76.5%, with no change today. Making a GIF easier and giving teams more control over where they run a model both make AI more useful. I’d move the meter if we saw models handle a wider range of unfamiliar tasks reliably on their own.
The meter reflects my editorial judgment.
