APPLE’S SECRET CHATBOT 🤫

What’s going on? Apple is testing its long-awaited Siri overhaul using an internal chatbot called “Veritas.”

How does it work? According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Veritas functions much like ChatGPT or Google’s Gemini, allowing Apple employees to type questions, chat back and forth, and revisit old conversations to refine their requests. The tool helps Apple rapidly develop and test new Siri features, including the ability to search through personal data and perform in-app actions like editing photos or sending messages. However, Apple currently has no plans to release Veritas to the public.

Why is this important? Apple has been playing catch-up in the AI race, with delays to Siri’s next-gen upgrade and lukewarm reactions to Apple Intelligence. Veritas could be Apple’s key to faster innovation, but keeping it internal may slow progress as rivals like OpenAI and Google sprint ahead.

AMAZON DROPS “QUICK SUITE” FOR BUSINESSES 👨‍💻

Image: AWS

What’s new? Amazon just launched Quick Suite, an all-in-one AI “teammate” that answers your business questions, analyzes data, and even automates workflows—so you can go from insight to action without switching apps.

How does it work? Quick Suite combines Amazon’s research, analytics, and automation tools into a single workspace. You can ask questions in plain English to pull insights from company data, reports, and even external sources. The suite’s built-in agents handle everything from complex research to generating dashboards and automating cross-department workflows. Its foundation, Quick Index, unifies data across documents, databases, and cloud apps, while tools like Quick Research, Quick Sight, and Quick Automate deliver analysis, visualization, and process execution—all powered by natural language AI.

Why is this important? Quick Suite could significantly cut down the time business users spend gathering information and performing manual tasks. By bringing research, intelligence, and automation together, it helps teams make faster, more informed decisions.

POLICE USE AI TO SECURE DEVICES 🚔

What’s going on? West Midlands Police are using Android Enterprise to bring AI into everyday police work—helping officers work faster, safer, and smarter.

How does this work? With Android Enterprise, all 14,000+ police devices are fully managed and protected by AI. All messages and data are encrypted, and apps can only be downloaded from a secure police-approved store. If a phone is ever tampered with, its access is automatically shut off. Officers can also use AI tools like Google’s Gemini to quickly find procedures or look up records in the field, saving time that would otherwise be spent at a desk. The system also makes it easier for the tech team to set up and maintain all of the devices from a centralized platform.

Why should you care? This system lets officers spend more time in the community and less time on paperwork, all while keeping sensitive data safe. It’s a major step toward smarter, more efficient policing.
