AI CAN FORECAST YOUR HEALTH LIKE THE WEATHER ☀️

What’s up? Scientists have developed an AI tool that can predict a person’s risk of developing more than 1,000 diseases up to a decade in advance.

Want the details? The model, called Delphi-2M, works much like AI chatbots that predict the next word in a sentence. Instead of language, however, Delphi-2M was trained on anonymous medical records from hundreds of thousands of people. By spotting patterns in hospital visits, lifestyle choices, and past illnesses, it can estimate the likelihood of conditions such as diabetes, heart attacks, or sepsis—not with exact dates, but with probabilities, much like a weather forecast saying there’s a 70% chance of rain.

“So, just like weather, where we could have a 70% chance of rain, we can do that for healthcare. And we can do that not just for one disease, but all diseases at the same time—we’ve never been able to do that before.”

-Prof Ewan Birney, interim executive director of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory

Why should you care? This could transform how doctors prevent and treat disease. Rather than waiting until patients get sick, healthcare systems could identify risks earlier, give personalized advice, and even plan resources for the future. While it’s still in research, experts believe this technology could mark the start of a new era in predictive medicine.

GOOGLE TURNS TEXTBOOKS INTO AI-POWERED LEARNING TOOLS 📚

What’s new? Google has launched Learn Your Way, a research experiment that transforms traditional textbooks into personalized, interactive learning guides.

How does it work? Unlike standard digital readers, Learn Your Way uses Google’s LearnLM models within Gemini 2.5 Pro to adapt material to a student’s grade level and interests. A single textbook can be reshaped into multiple formats—such as mind maps, narrated slides, quizzes, or audio lessons—so students can explore the same material in different ways. The tool also provides real-time feedback, helping learners revisit areas where they struggle and giving them more control over how they learn. A study revealed that students who used Learn Your Way scored 11% higher on long-term recall tests compared to those using standard digital readers.

Why is this significant? If adopted widely, this approach could make education more engaging, effective, and personalized—helping students not only absorb information but actually remember it.

AMAZON SELLERS GET AN AI ASSISTANT 👩‍💻

What’s new? Amazon has upgraded Seller Assistant into an AI partner that works around the clock to help sellers run their businesses.

How does it work? The upgraded version, powered by Amazon Bedrock, can now do more than just answer questions. With “agentic AI,” Seller Assistant can plan, reason, and take action—always with the seller’s permission. It can watch over account health, flag inventory problems, suggest pricing or ad strategies, guide sellers through compliance paperwork, and even prepare detailed growth plans. Instead of digging through dashboards or data, sellers can ask the AI and get clear answers and recommended actions instantly.

Why is this important? Over 60% of Amazon’s sales come from independent sellers. By taking over routine tasks and spotting problems before they grow, Seller Assistant saves time and reduces stress. That means small businesses can spend less energy on management and more energy on creating products and growing their brand—giving them tools once only big companies could afford.
