We live in a strange world, where AI is building itself and robots are running into fires. Let’s take a look! 😁

⭐️ Today’s Feature

ChatGPT gives you generic answers because you give it generic prompts.

You know the fix: longer prompts, more context, clearer constraints. But typing all that takes five minutes per prompt, so you shortcut it. Every time.

Wispr Flow lets you speak your prompts instead of typing them. Talk through your thinking naturally — include context, constraints, examples — and get clean text ready to paste. No filler words. No cleanup.

Works inside ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, and every other AI tool. System-level, so there's nothing to install per app. Tap and talk.

Millions of users worldwide. Teams at OpenAI, Vercel, and Clay use Flow daily. Free on Mac, Windows, and iPhone.

What’s going on? Anthropic says AI is no longer just helping humans build better AI systems — it is starting to do more of the development work itself, raising the possibility that future AI could help create even more advanced versions of itself.

Want the details? Anthropic says its Claude models are now doing a large share of coding and research tasks inside the company. Instead of only suggesting bits of code, the systems can now write files, run tests, fix bugs, and carry out experiments with less human help. The company says more than 80% of the code merged into its systems is now written by Claude, and its engineers are producing far more output than before. Humans still set goals and make the biggest judgment calls, but AI is taking over more of the hands-on work.

Why it matters: If AI starts helping build the next generation of AI, progress could speed up fast — much faster than governments, companies, and the public are ready for. That could lead to huge benefits, like better medicine, faster scientific discovery, and more powerful tools for everyday work. But it also raises the stakes. The more AI takes over the job of improving itself, the harder it may become for humans to fully understand, monitor, and control what is happening.

What’s up? Deep Robotics showed off its upgraded DR02 humanoid robot, which can carry firefighting gear while walking over rough ground, climbing large concrete steps, and staying balanced in dangerous outdoor conditions.

Want the details? DR02 is a 5.7-foot humanoid robot built for harsh environments. It can carry up to 20 kilograms, move at about 1.5 meters per second, and operate in dust, water, and extreme temperatures. Its onboard computing system helps it adjust its movements in real time, which is important when the ground is uneven or filled with obstacles. In the demo, the robot appeared to carry firefighting equipment while moving through terrain that would be difficult and risky for people.

Why is this significant? Robots like DR02 could help first responders work more safely in dangerous places, especially during fires or industrial emergencies. A humanoid robot may also handle tasks that other firefighting machines cannot, like opening doors, climbing stairs, or using tools in tight spaces. But of course, human discretion and care remain paramount in these situations.
