Honestly, some days the pace of AI development throws me for a loop, and today is one of those days. From Pokémon data hitting the battlefield to chatbots getting financial freedom, let's dive into what’s happening. 👇

⭐️ Today’s Feature

Get 2 hours back. Every day.

The average professional spends 28% of their workday on email. The other 72% is spent recovering from it.

Lindy is an AI assistant that reads every email, sorts out the noise, and drafts replies that sound like you. Before calls, it texts you a brief over iMessage with context from your last conversation. You text it back like a friend. And it only takes one minute to set up.

What’s cookin’? Data from Pokémon Go players has helped train AI that could eventually support military drones. Pokémon Go was made by Niantic, which asked players to scan real-world places like landmarks and public spaces in exchange for in-game rewards. In the background, those phone scans helped train AI to recognize and understand physical locations. Now, a Niantic spin-off focused on mapping the real world with AI has partnered with Vantor, a company that builds location and navigation software for drones. The goal is to help drones find their way when GPS is blocked, jammed, or unreliable.

🤔 Hunter’s take: This is the uncomfortable part of the AI boom: data collected for one harmless-looking reason can become useful for something much more serious later. People thought they were helping a game work better. Years later, that same data may help machines navigate war zones. That should make “I agree” feel a lot heavier.

Payroll errors cost more than you think

While many businesses are solving problems at lightspeed, their payroll systems seem to stay stuck in the past. Deel's free Payroll Toolkit shows you what's actually changing in payroll this year, which problems hit first, and how to fix them before they cost you. Because new compliance rules, AI automation, and multi-country remote teams are all colliding at once.

Check out the free Deel Payroll Toolkit today and get a step-by-step roadmap to modernize operations, reduce manual work, and build a payroll strategy that scales with confidence.

What’s cookin’? Coinbase has launched Coinbase for Agents, a new tool that lets AI agents like ChatGPT or Claude trade and make payments for users through simple natural language commands. Instead of clicking through an app, a person could tell an AI agent to rebalance a crypto portfolio, watch for trading opportunities, or manage positions over time. Coinbase also introduced a payment system called x402, which lets agents pay for digital services, like research, data, or computing power, without needing a human to log in or approve every step.

🤔 Hunter’s take: This is a big step toward AI becoming less like a chatbot and more like an economic actor. That’s exciting, but also weirdly risky. Once agents can spend, trade, and subscribe on our behalf, the real question becomes who is responsible when they make a bad call: the user, the company, or the machine?
