GOOGLE TURNS INFORMATION INTO VIDEO 🎥
What’s new? Google’s NotebookLM can now create Video Overviews, which turn your notes and documents into engaging, illustrated videos.
How does it work? Powered by Gemini’s new image model, “Nano Banana,” the updated Video Overviews generate narrated videos that summarize your uploaded sources while adding visuals in six unique styles: Watercolor, Papercraft, Anime, Whiteboard, Retro Print, and Heritage. You can choose between two formats: Explainer for detailed summaries or Brief for quick highlights. With Nano Banana’s AI-generated illustrations, each video becomes more than just a summary; it visually explains the material, helping you absorb and remember complex information.
Why should you care? This upgrade turns studying or research into an interactive experience. This makes heavy information easier to digest.
CHATGPT NOW REMEMBERS BETTER BY FORGETTING STUFF 🙃
What’s up? OpenAI has upgraded ChatGPT’s memory system, giving the AI chatbot the ability to automatically manage and forget outdated information—so users no longer have to deal with a “memory full” message or manually delete old details.
How does this work? Previously, ChatGPT stored facts you shared—like your name or preferences—and kept them until you reviewed or erased them yourself. Now, it can decide which memories stay “top of mind” based on how often and recently you mention them. If you’ve been discussing travel plans lately, that’ll take priority; your old gardening questions might fade into the background. Users can still view, edit, or delete memories anytime.
Why should you care? This shift makes ChatGPT smarter and less work to manage. By learning what’s relevant automatically, it behaves more like a long-term assistant than a search tool—one that grows with you instead of needing constant upkeep.
