APPLE ABANDONS VISION PRO FOR NEW AI GLASSES 👓

What’s up? Apple is abandoning the development of a cheaper, lighter version of the Apple Vision Pro in order to fast-track the development of its first AI-powered smart glasses, aiming to compete directly with Meta’s expanding lineup.

Want the details? According to Bloomberg, Apple had been planning a more affordable Vision Pro headset for 2027, but those resources are now being redirected to smart glasses projects. The first pair, codenamed N50, is expected to connect to the iPhone, with a possible unveiling as soon as next year. More advanced, display-enabled glasses are slated for 2028. Apple’s devices will lean heavily on voice interaction and AI, with rumors of health-focused features and a sleek, customizable design.

Why is this important? Meta has already sold millions of its AI glasses, and the Apple Vision Pro has continued to show disappointing sales numbers. If Apple doesn’t pivot, the company risks falling behind in a market that could redefine how we interact with technology.

MICROSOFT LAUNCHES “365 PREMIUM” 👨‍💻

What’s new? Microsoft has launched Microsoft 365 Premium, a new $19.99 per month subscription that combines its best productivity apps with its most advanced AI features.

How does it work? Microsoft 365 Premium brings AI directly into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook through Copilot, which can help draft text, analyze data, design slides, and summarize emails. It adds Researcher for gathering information, Analyst for turning spreadsheets into insights, and advanced tools like Office Agent and Agent Mode, which can generate entire documents or presentations from a single prompt. Subscribers also get Microsoft’s highest AI usage limits for features like image generation, voice commands, and deep research, plus 1 TB of secure cloud storage and Microsoft Defender security to keep files safe and protected.

Why should you care? This move makes Microsoft’s most powerful AI tools more accessible to everyday users, from professionals managing big projects to students and parents staying organized.

HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL BRINGS AI INTO THE CLASSROOM 📚

What’s going on? Harvard Business School (HBS) Dean Srikant M. Datar revealed that faculty are now using AI to give students faster feedback and to improve how courses are taught.

Want more details? Datar explained that when students submit work like spreadsheets, AI tools can quickly review it and offer suggestions, helping students learn in real time. Beyond grading help, HBS is testing AI through projects like Foundry, a platform that gives entrepreneurs outside Harvard access to school content and connects them with mentors and resources. Administrators also say AI is being used to condense large amounts of student feedback into clear insights for professors, making it easier to adjust classes. Importantly, Datar emphasized that AI isn’t replacing the classroom but supplementing it—especially by being available to students 24/7 when faculty aren’t.

“I think there will be a lot of opportunities for both Harvard and these other institutions to take advantage of these new developments, take advantage of insights, test ideas iteratively, and continue to enhance curricular and learning experiences in real time.”

-Srikant M. Datar, HBS Dean

Why is this significant? This shows how AI can enhance education rather than replace it. Students benefit from faster feedback, professors gain better tools to improve teaching, and HBS creates a more connected learning community that extends beyond its own campus.
