OPENAI LAUNCHES CODEX APP FOR EVERYONE 👨‍💻

What’s up? OpenAI has launched a Codex app for macOS, a command center for managing AI coding agents. Codex has also been made available for Free and Go tiers.

Want the details? The new Codex app gives developers a powerful interface to run multiple AI agents at once, manage complex software projects, and automate tasks using skills and automations. It supports multi-agent workflows, long-running tasks, and seamless collaboration with built-in tools to review, customize, and guide AI-generated work. The app also lets users define "skills" that extend Codex’s abilities far beyond code—into design, document editing, and even game development.

Why is this significant? Codex is redefining who can build software and how it gets done. Instead of typing line-by-line instructions, developers now supervise AI teams that can build apps, fix bugs, or generate entire games with minimal input. Whether you’re a pro developer or a startup founder, the Codex app turns your computer into a powerful AI workstation—giving you time back, expanding your capabilities, and accelerating how quickly ideas become products.

DEEPMIND RESEARCHERS DEBUT ALPHA-GENOME 🧬

What’s up? Google DeepMind has debuted AlphaGenome, the most comprehensive and accurate AI model yet for decoding human DNA.

Want the details? AlphaGenome is an AI model trained to analyze large stretches of DNA—up to a million letters at once—and predict how different parts of our genome function. Unlike older models that focused mostly on known protein-coding genes, AlphaGenome can also interpret the vast “dark matter” of our DNA: the 98% of our genome that doesn’t make proteins but plays a critical role in regulating them. It was trained on both human and mouse data and outperformed other models in most tests, identifying nearly 6,000 key genetic signals at once.

Why does this matter? Understanding DNA is the key to better diagnosing diseases, predicting health risks, and discovering new treatments. By helping scientists understand how small genetic changes can affect the body—especially in the lesser-understood parts of our DNA—AlphaGenome could lead to major breakthroughs in medicine.
