OPENAI LAUNCHES A PODCAST 🎙️
Everyone’s got a podcast nowadays … 🙃
What’s up? OpenAI has introduced its very own podcast.
Why? The OpenAI podcast will consist of a series of conversations among the people shaping AI models like GPT, o3, Sora, and more. CEO Sam Altman joined the first episode (above) to talk about AGI, GPT-5, privacy, and what comes next.
Why should you care? This podcast gives regular folks an opportunity to peek behind the scenes of AI development and learn about the people who are creating cutting-edge models.
MIDJOURNEY DROPS VIDEO CREATION 🎥
Q: What do you call a satisfied video editor?
A: A content creator. 🙂
What happened? Midjourney, known for its image generation tools, has launched its highly anticipated V1 Video Model, allowing users to animate AI-generated images directly within the platform.
Want the details? Midjourney’s new “Image-to-Video” feature lets users turn still AI images into short animated clips. Users can press “Animate” to automatically generate movement or use a manual option to describe exactly how the scene should move. There are also “high motion” and “low motion” settings depending on how dynamic you want the animation. Each animation can be extended in 4-second chunks, up to 20 seconds total. Initially, video costs about 8 times more than images—or about “one image worth of cost” per second of video—but this is still significantly cheaper than comparable tools on the market.
Why is this significant? This marks a major step toward real-time, interactive 3D AI simulations—a future where you can create living, breathing virtual worlds on command. For creators, marketers, and storytellers, it opens new doors to easily animate content without advanced skills or expensive tools.
YOU CAN NOW SPEAK TO GOOGLE 🗣️
I told my psychiatrist that I’ve been hearing voices. He told me that I don’t have a psychiatrist. 😳
What happened? Google has launched a new “Search Live” feature within AI Mode on its mobile app.
How does it work? With Search Live, you can now talk to Google Search like you would a person. Simply open the Google app, tap the new “Live” button, and ask your question out loud. Google’s AI, powered by a custom version of its Gemini model, responds with spoken answers while also showing helpful links on your screen. You can keep the conversation going by asking follow-up questions—even while using other apps. There’s also a transcript button to see text versions of the answers or continue the chat by typing. The system taps into Google’s advanced search technology to pull reliable information from across the web.
Why should you care? This makes searching faster and more natural, especially when you’re busy or multitasking. It’s a glimpse into the future of AI-powered, hands-free search that feels more like a real conversation.

SALTY SATURDAY 🧂
Who is salty in the AI world this week?
Amazon employees are fuming after CEO Andy Jassy released a memo stating that AI will likely lead to workforce cuts. This has sparked outrage across employee forums, with workers slamming the message as “tone-deaf.” One employee sarcastically quipped, “Nothing like starting your day knowing AI might take your job.”
