ELON MUSK SAYS A “SUPERSONIC TSUNAMI” IS COMING 🌊

What’s up? Elon Musk made a prediction that AI will wipe out desk jobs at “a very rapid pace,” calling it a “supersonic tsunami.”

Want the details? Musk explained that digital jobs—like those done at a computer—are being automated quickly by AI. Unlike physical jobs that involve hands-on work, such as cooking or construction, office jobs are more easily handled by AI. Musk noted this shift is already underway and compared it to how calculators replaced manual math decades ago. In the best-case scenario, he sees a future where people don’t need to work to survive and can enjoy a “universal high income.” If Musk is right, millions of jobs could disappear or change dramatically in just a few years. While that’s scary, it could also mean more freedom if society adapts wisely.

“Anything that’s physically moving atoms, like cooking food or farming, anything that's physical, those jobs will exist for a much longer time. But anything that is digital, which is just someone at a computer doing something, AI is going to take over those jobs like lightning.”

-Elon Musk

Introducing Voice AI Agents on WhatsApp

WhatsApp has always been where customers start conversations. Now, with Synthflow, those conversations can continue seamlessly over calls — answered directly by Voice AI Agents.

Enterprises can finally manage WhatsApp calls with the same automation, analytics, and security as phones.

The result: faster resolutions, 24/7 coverage, and a unified system for every customer call, whether it starts on telephony or WhatsApp.

CRIME SCENE FORENSICS GETS AN ODD AI BREAKTHROUGH 🪰

Image: Paige B. Jarreau (LSU)

What’s up? Scientists have developed a very unique way to use AI to potentially reveal the time and place of death at a crime scene, even years later.

How does this work? When blowflies lay eggs on a dead body, they eventually leave behind tough shells called puparial casings. These casings can help investigators estimate when someone died, but only if they know which fly species they’re from. That’s tricky, since different species look alike in early stages or may have degraded DNA. A research team led by chemist Rabi Musah found a better method: they analyzed the unique chemical “fingerprints” of each species using mass spectrometry, then fed that data into an AI model that can identify the species in just 90 seconds.

Why is this significant? This breakthrough could give investigators a new way to solve cold cases, even when all that’s left are insect shells. These tiny casings may one day reveal where, when, and how someone died.

GOOGLE GETS CLOSER TO RELEASING SMART GLASSES 🕶️

What’s up? Google is getting close to releasing its AI-powered smart glasses, built on its new Android XR platform and powered by Gemini.

Want some details? The new glasses, shown earlier this year at Google I/O, are equipped with cameras, microphones, and speakers, allowing them to understand what you see and hear. They connect with your phone to give you helpful info through an optional private in-lens display. With Gemini built-in, the glasses can send messages, translate conversations in real time, give directions, take photos, and more—all hands-free. It’s like having a supercharged AI assistant seeing the world from your perspective.

Why should you care? These glasses aren’t just about looking futuristic. They’re meant to make life easier, more connected, and less screen-dependent. Plus, Google’s working with brands like Warby Parker and Gentle Monster to make them stylish and wearable. Imagine real-world subtitles or instant help when traveling … This tech is aiming to make that a reality.
