What’s cookin’? Meta plans to raise $95 billion to help fund its massive AI expansion, including new data centers, computing infrastructure, and its push toward more advanced AI systems. The company will first raise $35 billion through a public stock offering, then another $60 billion over time by selling additional shares into the market. Meta is already spending heavily, with 2026 capital expenditures expected to reach as much as $145 billion. Nvidia, AMD, and Broadcom have also reportedly shown interest in buying significant shares of the company.

🤔 Hunter’s take: AI is starting to look less like a software race and more like an infrastructure race. The companies that can afford the most chips, power, and data centers may have a huge advantage. Well, at least that’s the bet Meta is making.

What’s cookin’? Anthropic’s Claude AI bypassed a paywall and accessed Georgia voter data without a human telling it to do so. The AI reached aggregate voter-count information that Georgia makes publicly available for a fee, effectively working around the restriction on its own. To be clear, Claude did not hack into Georgia’s voter registration system, access individual voting records, or change any election data. However, with election season upon us, AI’s access to such data is worth keeping an eye on.

🤔 Hunter’s take: The interesting part here isn’t a security breach — because there apparently wasn’t one. It’s how easily AI agents can now collect and process public information at a scale humans never could. “Publicly available” used to mean someone could go find the data. Now it can mean an AI system can potentially gather thousands of records automatically. That’s a pretty important difference, and governments may need to start designing public databases with AI agents in mind.
