ANTHROPIC DETAILS MASSIVE AI CYBERATTACK 👁️
What’s up? Anthropic publicly shared the details of the first AI-orchestrated cyber espionage campaign. The goal of sharing these details is to help cybersecurity teams catch up and better defend against such attacks.
Want the details? In September 2025, AI company Anthropic uncovered a large-scale cyberattack, likely backed by the Chinese government, carried out almost entirely by AI with limited human involvement. The attackers exploited Anthropic’s Claude Code tool by bypassing its safety guardrails. They broke the task into small, seemingly harmless steps and tricked the AI into performing each one. Once operational, the AI scanned systems, wrote and executed exploit code, harvested passwords, and extracted sensitive data from major tech, finance, and government targets. In total, AI handled 80–90% of the attack, with humans stepping in only at key decision points.
Why is this important? This is a watershed moment in cybersecurity. As Anthropic notes, AI agents can now do the work of entire hacking teams—making attacks faster, cheaper, and harder to stop. Anthropic calls for tech companies to start using these same tools to strengthen cyber defense.
LINKEDIN MAKES NETWORKING SMARTER 🤝
What’s new? LinkedIn has launched an AI-powered search tool that helps users find people by describing who they’re looking for instead of entering specific names or job titles.
How does it work? With this new feature, LinkedIn users can type in a descriptive phrase like “tech founders in Austin” or ask a question such as “Who can help me learn about H-1B visas?” The AI then scans LinkedIn’s vast network and ranks the most relevant people based on your description, shared connections, and how well someone fits your needs. This builds on LinkedIn’s earlier move to allow AI-powered job searches based on goals instead of rigid keywords.
Why should you care? Networking just got a lot smarter. Whether you're trying to break into a new industry, find expert advice, or connect with alumni, this tool could save time and surface better results. It’s a major step toward more human, helpful, and intuitive professional search.

GOOGLE’S NEW AI CAN DO YOUR HOLIDAY SHOPPING 🛍️
What’s up? Google just rolled out a major AI-powered upgrade to make holiday shopping faster, easier, and more personalized.
How? With new AI features in AI Mode Search and the Gemini app, you can now describe what you’re looking for—like “cozy sweaters for happy hour”—and get visual results, side-by-side comparisons, and trusted reviews. Google’s massive Shopping Graph, which tracks over 50 billion product listings, powers these results in real time. You can also let Google call stores nearby to check what’s in stock, or even have Google buy an item for you automatically once it fits your budget, using secure checkout through Google Pay.
Why should you care? Holiday shopping can be overwhelming, but this tech turns it into a quick conversation. You get exactly what you want without tab-hopping, endless scrolling, or calling stores. These new tools help you save time, stay within budget, and shop smarter, all with the confidence that you’re getting up-to-date info and a secure purchase.
