Hope your week is treating you well! I’ve been diving into some fascinating (and slightly alarming) AI shifts this morning, so let’s get right into it. 👊

🛠️ NEW AI TOOLS 🛠️
What’s new? OpenAI has introduced GPT-5.5, a new AI model designed to handle more complicated tasks with less hand-holding from the user.
Want more details? The main improvement is that GPT-5.5 can do more of the job on its own. OpenAI says it is better at writing and fixing code, searching the web, analyzing data, making documents and spreadsheets, using software tools, and sticking with longer tasks until they are finished. It is also supposed to understand unclear instructions more easily, make fewer mistakes, and use fewer tokens on many tasks, which makes it more efficient.
Why should you care? For everyday users, this could mean faster help with writing, planning, research, and computer tasks. For businesses and researchers, it could mean saving time on harder projects that used to require much more human effort.
Are you tracking agent views on your docs?
AI agents already outnumber human visitors to your docs — now you can track them.
What happened? Anthropic’s powerful Mythos AI model, designed for advanced cybersecurity work, was reportedly accessed by an unauthorized private Discord group through a third-party contractor.
Want the details? Mythos is a new AI model built to find and exploit security weaknesses in major operating systems and web browsers when a user tells it to. Anthropic has kept access tightly restricted because the tool could be dangerous if misused. According to the report, a small group gained access by combining the contractor’s permissions with basic online investigation methods. Anthropic says it is now investigating the incident and, so far, has not found evidence that the breach spread beyond the contractor’s environment.
Why does this matter? Powerful AI tools can become serious risks when they escape controlled settings. A model made for cybersecurity research could also be used for hacking, making the line between defense and attack very thin. It also raises bigger questions about how safely companies can handle advanced AI systems.
🚨⭐️ Unique opportunity: “Philosophy of AI”
DeepMind is paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for philosophical insights.
