GOOGLE’S AI MODE CAN NOW DO STUFF FOR YOU 🦾

What’s new? Google is bringing agentic capabilities to AI Mode in Search to help users book tickets and appointments directly through conversation.

How does it work? With the new “agentic” features in AI Mode, you can type natural requests like, “Find me two cheap floor tickets for the Shaboozey concert,” and Google’s AI will search multiple sites, find real-time options, and present a short list tailored to your needs. You’ll be linked directly to the booking page to complete the process. The tool also works for dinner reservations and wellness appointments, letting you include specifics like time, location, or preferences. This capability is currently available through Search Labs for users in the U.S., with premium users getting expanded access.

Why should you care? Instead of jumping between multiple websites, AI Mode saves time by doing the searching and filtering for you. It’s like having a personal assistant built into Google Search—one that can handle real-world tasks with just a few words.

Stop post-purchase fraud before it drains your eCommerce business.

Running an eCommerce brand is hard enough, fraud shouldn't make it harder.

Post-purchase fraud, or "digital shoplifting," slips past checkout tools and costs DTC brands millions in disputes, wasted shipping, and lost revenue.

Chargeflow Prevent is the first AI-powered solution that stops fraud after payment but before fulfillment, cutting disputes by up to 90% with less than 0,1% false positives.

GOOGLE UNVEILS PROJECT SUNCATCHER ☀️

What’s up? Google has announced Project Suncatcher, an ambitious plan to explore scaling AI computing in space using solar-powered satellites.

How will this work? Project Suncatcher is a bold research initiative aiming to place AI-powered satellites in orbit. These satellites would use Google’s custom Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) and be powered by sunlight, creating a high-efficiency, space-based compute network. The team has already published early research on satellite design and radiation testing of TPUs, and they plan to launch two test satellites in partnership with Planet by 2027 to see how the system performs in real space conditions.

Why is this significant? If successful, this could unlock nearly unlimited computing power by tapping into the Sun's energy and the vastness of space. That means faster, more powerful AI to help solve big global problems—without the same energy and infrastructure limits we face on Earth.

ELON MUSK CREATES AN AI GIRLFRIEND 🤯

Image: xAI

What happened? Elon Musk’s AI company, xAI, reportedly asked employees to give up their own biometric data—including faces and voices—to train a sexually suggestive female chatbot named Ani.

Want the details? Ani is an anime-style AI companion with flirtatious features, available to premium subscribers on X (formerly Twitter). According to The Wall Street Journal, some xAI employees were told they had to submit their facial and voice data to help make Ani more realistic and human-like. They were also required to sign a release allowing xAI to use their likeness forever, as part of a secret program called “Project Skippy.” Some employees expressed discomfort, especially due to Ani’s sexual tone and concerns their data might be misused or sold.

Why does this matter? This raises major concerns about employee consent, data privacy, and how companies train AI using real people. It also highlights growing ethical worries about AI companions designed to mimic human intimacy.
