GEMINI GETS PERSONAL 🤗

What’s new? Google has launched a new beta feature called “Personal Intelligence” in its Gemini app, giving it the ability to personalize answers using your own Google data.

How does it work? This new tool taps into apps like Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Photos, YouTube history, and even your past Google searches. If you ask Gemini a question, it can now pull up specific information—like your flight details, car info, or recent purchases—without you digging for it. For example, it could suggest the best tires for your car based on your emails and past road trips or help plan a weekend getaway using your preferences and photos. It also shows where it got its answers, so you can check or correct it anytime.

Why should you care? This is a big step toward truly personalized AI. Instead of giving one-size-fits-all answers, Gemini can tailor suggestions to your life—saving time, reducing hassle, and making the assistant feel more like… well, an assistant.

NEW BILL LETS VICTIMS OF DEEPFAKES SUE 😡

What’s up? The U.S. Senate unanimously passed the Defiance Act, a bill that would allow victims of nonconsensual deepfake pornography to sue the individuals who create or spread it.

Want the details? Introduced by Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) and co-sponsored by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), this bill would give victims the right to take legal action in civil court. It targets the growing threat of AI-generated pornography, where tools can digitally insert someone’s face onto another body or strip away clothing, often without their knowledge or consent.

Why does this matter? These deepfakes have the power to ruin lives. Victims often can’t stop the spread of fake images that look real and harmful. Giving them the right to sue means they might finally have a way to fight back and seek justice.

GOOGLE BRINGS MAJOR UPDATES TO VEO 🎥

What’s up? Google just released a major update to its video generation tool, Veo 3.1, which makes AI-generated videos more expressive, mobile-friendly, and high-quality.

Want the details? The latest update improves character consistency, blends scenes more naturally, and lets you control objects and backgrounds across shots. It now supports vertical video (9:16 format), perfect for platforms like YouTube Shorts, and includes sharp 1080p and 4K upscaling for professional-quality results. These updates are live across the Gemini app, YouTube, Flow, Google Vids, and more.

Why does this matter? Whether you're a casual creator or a professional filmmaker, Veo 3.1 makes it easier than ever to bring your ideas to life—fast, fun, and ready for mobile. You get creative control and broadcast-ready quality, all powered by AI.
