Why AI Isn’t Replacing Affiliate Marketing After All

“AI will make affiliate marketing irrelevant.”

Our new research shows the opposite.

Levanta surveyed 1,000 US consumers to understand how AI is influencing the buying journey. The findings reveal a clear pattern: shoppers use AI tools to explore options, but they continue to rely on human-driven content before making a purchase.

Here is what the data shows:

  • Less than 10% of shoppers click AI-recommended links

  • Nearly 87% discover products on social platforms or blogs before purchasing on marketplaces

  • Review sites rank higher in trust than AI assistants

(The mystery link can lead to ANYTHING AI-related: tools, memes, articles, videos, and more…)

META PARTNERS WITH PUBLISHERS TO DELIVER REAL-TIME CONTENT đź“°

Image: Meta

What’s up? Through partnerships with major media outlets, Meta AI is expanding to deliver more real-time content—like breaking news, entertainment, and lifestyle stories.

Want the details? Meta is starting this rollout by working with well-known publishers such as CNN, Fox News, USA TODAY, Le Monde Group, People, and others. When users ask Meta AI about current events, the assistant will now pull from a wider mix of trusted sources and provide direct links to full articles. This helps Meta AI respond faster to unfolding stories while guiding users to original reporting on partner websites for deeper context and details.

Why does this matter? Real-time information has been a weak spot for many AI systems. By integrating diverse news sources, Meta aims to make its AI more accurate, timely, and balanced. For users, that means easier access to reliable information across topics they care about. For publishers, it offers a new way to reach broader audiences—creating a more connected and informed digital ecosystem overall.

U.S. ARMY LAUNCHES AI PROGRAM 🪖

What’s up? The U.S. Army is launching a new AI and machine-learning career field for officers to speed up its shift toward AI-powered operations.

Want the details? The new specialty, known as 49B, makes AI and machine learning an official area of concentration for Army officers. Starting January 5, eligible officers can apply to transfer into the field through the Voluntary Transfer Incentive Program, with formal transfers expected by October 2026. Those selected will complete graduate-level training and gain hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining AI-enabled systems used across the Army. While the specialty is open to all eligible officers, candidates with technical backgrounds or advanced degrees in data or AI-related fields will be more competitive. Officers who transfer will also commit to a three-year active-duty service obligation after training.

“The future of American warfare is here, and it’s spelled AI.”

-Pete Hegseth, U.S. Defense Secretary

Why is this significant? This move signals how central AI is becoming to modern warfare, helping the Army build in-house expertise, reduce reliance on contractors, and prepare for faster, more data-driven decision-making on future battlefields.
