OPENAI DROPS CHATGPT PULSE 🤯

What’s up? OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Pulse, a new productivity feature rolling out in preview for Pro users on mobile.

How does it work? Pulse flips the usual ChatGPT experience by doing research for you instead of waiting for your questions. Each night, it pulls from your chats, memory, and optional connections like Gmail or Google Calendar to deliver a daily set of personalized updates. These appear as quick, visual cards—ranging from dinner ideas to meeting prep notes—that you can scan, expand, or save. You can guide what shows up by curating topics, giving thumbs-up or thumbs-down feedback, and requesting new areas of focus.

Why should you care? Instead of putting the burden on you to ask the right question, ChatGPT now anticipates your needs and brings timely, tailored insights to your day. It’s a step toward AI as a true personal assistant—helping you save time and stay focused.

META INTRODUCES “VIBES” 🤙

What’s new? Meta has introduced Vibes, a new feed inside the Meta AI app where users can create, remix, and share AI-generated videos.

How does it work? Vibes puts creativity at the center of the experience. Users can generate videos from scratch using text prompts, remix existing clips by changing styles or adding music, or build on content already in the feed. As you browse, you’ll see AI-generated videos from creators and communities, and the feed will adapt to your interests over time. Finished projects can be shared directly in Vibes or cross-posted to Instagram and Facebook Stories and Reels.

Why should you care? This marks a major step toward making AI-powered video creation accessible to anyone, not just professionals. By lowering the barriers to creativity, Vibes could change how people express ideas, collaborate, and share content online—turning casual inspiration into shareable media in just a few taps.

SPOTIFY HAS REMOVED 75 MILLION AI SONGS 🎵

What’s up? Spotify has announced new rules and tools to combat harmful uses of generative AI, including stricter impersonation policies, a new spam filter, and AI disclosures in music credits.

Want the details? Spotify recognizes that AI has opened exciting creative possibilities, but it has also fueled scams and impersonation attempts. New policies will ban unauthorized AI voice clones, prevent fraudulent uploads to artists’ profiles, and introduce industry-standard labels to show when and how AI tools were used in making a track. Spotify is also launching a spam filter to detect and reduce mass-produced or low-quality “slop” content generated by AI. The company noted it removed 75 million spam tracks in the past year alone. Spotify’s updates do not aim to eliminate AI music creation altogether but rather aim to protect musicians’ identities, preserve trust for fans, and ensure artists remain in control of how AI shapes their work.
