MICROSOFT COPILOT GETS VISION 👁️
What’s new? Microsoft is rolling out a new Copilot app update that lets users share their screen and get real-time help from AI.
How does it work? The update introduces Copilot Vision on Windows, allowing users to share their desktop, browser, or app windows directly with Microsoft Copilot. Once shared, Copilot can “see” your screen and talk you through tasks—whether that’s offering feedback on a project, helping refine a resume, or guiding you while playing a game. Users can activate this feature by clicking the glasses icon during a voice or text conversation and selecting what to share. Copilot Vision can also answer questions about what it sees through your mobile phone’s camera. The feature is part of Copilot app version 1.25071.125 and is rolling out gradually to Windows Insiders in supported regions.
Why does this matter? This brings AI support directly into your workflow. Instead of typing questions or commands, you can show Copilot exactly what you’re working on and get tailored, spoken guidance in real time. It’s a step toward more intuitive and immersive human-AI collaboration.
TRUMP ANNOUNCES $90 BILLION FOR AI AND ENERGY⚡️
What happened? President Trump announced over $90 billion in AI and energy investments during the inaugural Energy and Innovation Summit in Pennsylvania.
What does this mean? At Carnegie Mellon University, President Trump joined major tech and energy leaders to unveil a massive wave of private-sector investments aimed at boosting America’s edge in AI and energy. Highlights include $25 billion from Google for data centers and infrastructure, $25 billion from Blackstone for energy facilities and cloud computing, and $6 billion from CoreWeave to expand its AI-focused data centers. These investments are expected to drive significant job creation and technological innovation, particularly in Pennsylvania.
Why is this important? This move cements the U.S. as a global hub for AI development and energy innovation. For everyday Americans, it promises more jobs, improved infrastructure, and leadership in two of the most important sectors shaping the future: AI and clean, reliable energy.
SCALE AI CUTS 14% OF ITS WORKFORCE ✌️
What happened? Just weeks after Meta acquired a large stake in the company, Scale AI is cutting about 200 employees and 500 contractors—14% of its workforce—in a sweeping effort to streamline operations.
Want the details? Scale, which provides the human-labeled data that powers AI systems for companies like Google and OpenAI, said the layoffs are part of a broader shift to focus on five core generative AI areas: code, languages, experts, experimental, and audio. The company acknowledged it had grown too fast and created unnecessary layers of bureaucracy. Alongside staff cuts, Scale is reorganizing teams to reduce overlap and improve efficiency. Despite the layoffs, Scale says it's still well-funded and plans to hire in other areas. For anyone following AI’s future, these shifts signal how fast the landscape—and its workforce—can change.
“We‘re streamlining our data business to help us move faster and deliver even better data solutions to our GenAI customers.”
