What’s up? Match Group, home to Tinder, Match, OkCupid, and Hinge, has entered into an enterprise agreement with OpenAI. This aligns with Match Group’s $20 million-plus commitment to AI in 2024.

How will AI be used? Match Group intends to deploy OpenAI’s ChatGPT-4 technology across coding, design, analysis, template building, and communication tasks within their dating platforms. Match Group also sees a role for AI in improving user experiences, profile quality, discoverability, matching, and creating a safer environment for users. ChatGPT itself seems excited about the new partnership, stating, “I’m thrilled that Match Group matched with me. Together, we’re not just breaking the ice; we’re melting it, and reshaping the way work gets done.”

ELON MUSK REVEALS POTENTIAL X AND MIDJOURNEY PARTNERSHIP 🤝

What’s up? In a recent X Spaces conversation (above), Elon Musk hinted at an intriguing collaboration between X and the popular AI image generator, Midjourney.

What was said? Responding to a user’s query about integrating generative AI features for image and video creation on the social media platform, Musk confirmed ongoing discussions with Midjourney. Musk expressed hopefulness and enthusiasm about the potential partnership, stating, “We are in some interesting discussions with Midjourney, and something may come of that. One way or another, we will enable AI generation on this platform (X).”

What’s the significance? If it’s not there already, this collaboration could place X at the forefront of social media’s integration with AI. Enabling AI-generated visuals could massively change the way users communicate on X. However, guardrails will need to be put in place to protect the spread of misinformation in the form of deepfakes. We might imagine Musk, who has continually cracked down on the spread of misinformation on X in the past, will have a plan to handle this which will certainly be revealed as things become more substantial. What this integration will look like will surely be interesting to monitor as AI continues to change the way we communicate and receive information.
