OPENAI STARTS TESTING ITS OWN SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM 📲

Tweet others the way you want to be tweeted. 🐦

What’s going on? OpenAI is exploring the idea of launching a social media platform, though there is no guarantee it will launch publicly.

What might this look like? Reports suggest OpenAI’s early-stage social network prototype centers on ChatGPT’s new image generation features. While it’s still unclear whether this would be a standalone platform or integrated into the existing ChatGPT app, the project includes a feed where users can view and share AI-generated content.

Why? If OpenAI moves forward, it could rival Elon Musk’s X and Meta’s Instagram/Facebook—not just by entering the social media space, but by tapping into real-time user interaction data to improve its AI models. Elon Musk’s Grok chatbot has greatly benefited from the data given freely by users on X. For the most part, this has kept xAI out of copyright lawsuits and has provided Grok with real-time capabilities and a massive amount of data. Sam Altman, facing a range of ongoing copyright lawsuits and limited data, now wants to follow a similar strategy. Social media has officially become the new hotbed for training data.

CLAUDE GETS GOOGLE WORKSPACE INTEGRATION 👩‍💻

Image: Anthropic

We are one step closer to AI doing all our work for us! 🙃

What happened? Anthropic announced that its AI assistant, Claude, can now connect to Google Workspace, giving it access to Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Docs.

How does this work? This new integration allows Claude to look through your Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Docs to give you more relevant and personalized answers—like reminding you of an upcoming meeting or referencing a document you wrote. The model will clearly show where the information it provides came from. In this first stage, it won’t send emails or schedule events for you, though this is a future direction the company has hinted at. Anthropic has emphasized that users’ data always stays private, isn’t shared between users, and isn’t used to train Claude.

Why should you care? This update makes Claude more useful in daily life, helping you stay organized with less effort, though it also raises questions about how much access AI should have to your personal information.

CHATGPT INTRODUCES A PERSONAL IMAGE LIBRARY 📸

Q: Where do books like to sleep?

A: Under their covers, duh! 📚

What’s new? OpenAI has added an image “Library” to ChatGPT for easier access to your AI-generated images.

How does it work? This Library feature will gradually become available across its ChatGPT apps on mobile and web, allowing Free, Plus, and Pro users to browse their previously generated images in one convenient place. A short demo video (above) shows a new tab in the ChatGPT sidebar labeled “Library,” which opens to a tidy grid of images you’ve created. There’s also a button at the bottom of the screen to generate a new image directly from this view.

Why is this important? This update makes it much easier to revisit your past creations—whether it’s futuristic landscapes, product mockups, or those oddly charming AI dolls. For anyone who frequently uses ChatGPT for visual projects or just enjoys experimenting with styles like cartoons or oil paintings, the library keeps your work organized and accessible, making the creative process feel more like using a true digital studio.
