BEDROCK SECURITY LAUNCHES DATA PROTECTION MODEL 💪

Q: What is a hacker’s favorite hobby?

A: Phishing. 🎣

What’s new? Bedrock Security has released their AI Reasoning (AIR) Engine, offering a robust solution for organizations aiming to fortify their sensitive data against emerging, AI-driven cybersecurity threats.

How does it work? AIR is designed specifically for the new era of AI-driven cybersecurity threats. By comprehensively understanding organizational data and “reasoning” like an AI, the model is able to identify and predict incoming threats as well as identify sensitive information which is susceptible to AI risks. This is all done without hindering operational efficiency. This approach not only fortifies data security but also upholds organizational integrity and financial stability.

“[These] deep learning technologies can dissect malware to decode its construction and possibly reverse-engineer cyberattacks. These AI capabilities operate behind the scenes, constantly evolving with each new security challenge to shield against and neutralize future cyber threats.”

APPLE IN TALKS WITH BAIDU AI TO POWER IPHONE IN CHINA📱

Q: What was the Chinese man’s favorite type of music?

A: Wok and roll. 🍣

What’s new? Apple is in discussions with Chinese tech giant Baidu, known as “the Chinese Google,” to power the iPhone 16 and other devices in China.

Why? The decision to choose Baidu—the creator of the famous Ernie chatbot, which has over 100 million users—as a potential client to power new devices comes amidst strict Chinese regulations over government approval of integrated AI models. The Baidu AI model will reportedly power the Chinese models of the iPhone 16, macOS, and upcoming iOS updates.

Why is this significant? Apple has been in talks with Gemini to power their new iPhones in the U.S., and this new move to find a model that works amidst Chinese regulations showcases Apple’s commitment to implementing AI into their products around the globe. Apple is looking for ways to break into the AI space and make up for lost ground on Microsoft and OpenAI in the U.S., and Apple also faces declining market share in China against local competitors like Huawei and Xiaomi, so the prospect of leveraging Baidu’s AI expertise could be pivotal.

DIAGEO’S AI-POWERED WHISKEY 🥃

I just hope our AI overlords drink responsibly. 🤖

What’s happening? Diageo, a leading alcoholic beverage company based in Scotland, has embarked on a groundbreaking journey into the world of whiskey maturation through the innovative integration of AI algorithms.

Want the details? Over two years, Diageo invested $230 million in whiskey tourism projects, allocating over $44 million to explore the intricacies of whiskey aging using SmokeDNAi technology. As the company outlines, “The process requires the whiskey samples to undergo a chemical analysis process, followed by gas chromatography, and data sets of distinct components are broken down by an algorithm.” Through this AI analysis, Diageo’s experts meticulously examined flavor profiles and mouthfeel, unlocking insights into the aging process within different barrels. This process led to the creation of Port Ellen Gemini, a pair of rare whiskies distilled in distinct casks. Each AI-driven bottle is priced at $50,000.
